State Farm Opens New Salem Operations CenterKevin Hays Salem-News.comThe new operations center is part of State Farm’s Salem consolidation efforts.
(SALEM) - Like a good neighbor State Farm is staying in Salem. State Farm spokesman Jeff Aeschliman says the new Salem Operations Center was built because they were far too small for the “big” office in north Salem. So, they sold it a year ago, and last month moved into the new building. It was built for us but we are leasing it Aeschliman said. The new building is about 40,000 sq. ft. There are 134 full-time employees, and a call center with about 35 part time employees. The bulk of the employees in Salem work in claims (auto and fire), but they also have Human Resources, Public Affairs, and two Agency Field Offices (the management teams for local agents).
State Farm, just completed a transition which began several years ago, moving the bulk of their Pacific Northwest Zone operations which is made up of six states: OR, WA, ID, MT, AK and HI) from Salem to Dupont, Washington. On Friday, the company, including Pacific Northwest Senior Vice President, Harold Gray, are inviting Salem-area residents to come to an open house from 2:00 to 4:00 PM to take a look at their new Salem Operation Center, located at 550 Hawthorne Ave SE, next door to the Trans-Ocean plant. Refreshments will be served.
