Be Aware! Salem Street Closures This Weekend Due to Road WorkSalem-News.comUse alternate routes if possible if your commute takes you through one of these workzones.
(SALEM, Ore. ) - The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! of some upcoming road construction projects this weekend that could delay your commute. Please make a note of these projects, and if your commute takes you through one of these workzones, PLEASE! slow down, and expect some delays. Saturday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, 25th St SE Between Madrona Ave SE and Airway Dr SE. Full street closure for slurry surfacing. Detours will be in place, use alternate routes to avoid delays. Saturday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Sunnyside Rd NE Between 17th St NE and Park Ave NE. Full street closure for slurry surfacing. Detours will be in place, use alternate routes to avoid delays. Saturday, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the traffic signal at Center Street NE and 17th Street NE will be turned off and controlled with flaggers. Based on progress other potential closure dates are: Sunday, July 29th, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday, July 30th, 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM Tuesday, July 31st, 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM These closures are for installation of a new water line. Expect congestion at this location. Sunday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Madrona Ave SE Between 25th St SE and Fairview Industrial Dr SE. Full street closure for slurry surfacing. Detours will be in place, use alternate routes to avoid delays. Sunday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Hawthorne Ave NE Between Sunnyview Rd NE and Silverton Rd NE. Full street closure for slurry surfacing.
