(ALBANY, Ore.) - Rounds from at least one gun blazed at two pursuing vehicles following a drive by shooting in Albany that led to two men being arrested on Attempted Murder and several other charges, police there say.

Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller, says deputies are investigating an attempted murder that occurred in Albany that resulted in a car chase by the intended victims that ended in the Oakville area west of Tangent.

Early Sunday morning at around 2:00 AM, residents on SW Queen St in Albany reported their house had been shot at. Linn County Sheriff’s detectives later discovered that five rounds hit the house, according to Mueller.

"Six people in the house used two vehicles to chase the suspect vehicle, a 1997 Nissan pickup, out of Albany on Oakville Road south to Highway 34. The suspects then turned east on Highway 34 then turned south on Hinck Road and proceeded west on Tangent Dive to the Oakville area."

He says the vehicle was stopped by Linn County Sheriff deputies on Church Drive. Three suspects, all from Lebanon, were taken into custody without incident.

"During the chase a suspect in the back of the pickup fired approximately 10 rounds at the two vehicles chasing them. Both vehicles were struck several times each." Mueller said.

The driver of the pickup, 18-year old Bradley John Zurfluh, was arrested and charged with six counts of Attempted Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Silencer, DUII and PCS less than an ounce of marijuana.

18-year old Dylan Thomas Debutts was charged six counts of Attempted Murder and Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

A passenger in the pickup, 19-year old Eric William Kauth, was charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was cited and released.

Zurfluh and Debutts were transported to the Linn County Jail.

Two firearms were seized from the suspects. They were according to Mueller, "a Ruger 10-22 semi automatic .22 caliber rifle with a homemade silencer attached to muzzle, and a Raven Arms .25 caliber semi automatic pistol. Both firearms are owned by Zurfluh."

None of the victims were injured in the incident. Linn County Sheriff’s Detectives are also assisting in the investigation.

The guys house they were "casing" had ganged up on one of their friends. should they have used guns to get back at them? NO! But I don;t tend to just sit back and let my friends get beat down by a bunch of jerks and not offer up some form of vengeance. Dylan got more time BECAUSE he owned up for what he did, AND because he didn't rat anyone else out for their part in the whole affair.

its me! June 22, 2008 2:54 am (Pacific time)

So here's the thing! I do know these boys very well.. Granted I met them thru my boyfriend who is now in jail too! And no dylan could not own up to his actions cuz he put it ALL on my boyfriend! Even his own actions! The sad thing is is that nobody asked them to go do that even tho there was drama previous. Believe me I know! Those boys(the ones that got shot at) stalked my house for months b4 this happened! No they should not have shot at them but those other punks were stoping at NOTHING! But in the end everyone involved will get what they deserve im sure of it! I just can't believe everyone wants to talk about some thing like they know the 100% facts! Don't say crap if u don't know! I 4 1 know the 100% facts and talk to attourneys every other day! The whole situation just really sucks!

You know what?..... you don't sound like such a nice person your self! What you just wrote about them was not necessary.... they actually aren't rednecks and I can't help to to think that you would not have the cahoneeys to say that to their faces.

Matt Johnson June 11, 2008 10:05 am (Pacific time)

Nobody wants to know them- they are loser redneck babies that represent their communities the way people expect them too, gimme' a break.

None of you REALLY know these boys..... they got caught up in some drama that wasn't even theirs... needless to say one of their friends truelly isn't a true friend to let this happen. Both of those boys are amazing people with horrible child hoods and upbringing.! My kids wouldn't have absolutely loved them if they were truelly bad people.

why is it every time a teenage boy does something wrong video games or their choice of music is brought up. Seriously people video games do not make people do stupid things. Bad parenting and uneducated people cause it. I am not speaking about the article but the comments about the situation

Editor: Heather, it says on the pages that we don't allow profanity, please refrain from expressing yourself that way here.  Of course if you think people are fine to shoot at other people because they are intoxicated,,, oh never mind.
