Services Set for Corporal Jeremy Loveless

(ESTACADA) - Funeral services for Army Corporal Jeremy Loveless will be held on Friday, June 9th, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Community Church at 28986 SE Haley Road in Boring, Oregon Loveless will receive firefighter honors at the funeral and full military honors ar the graveside services to be held at the George Cemetery, 41637 SE George Road in Eastcada, Oregon. After the service is comcluded, the Estacada Fire Department will lead the funeral procession to the cemetery. This procession will have a large number of fire trucks, motorcycles as well as family and friends. The 1042 Medical Company of the Oregon Army National Guard will provide a Blackhawk helicopter flyover in honor of this soldier as part of the services. Corporal Jeremy Michael Loveless, 25 of Estacada died Monday, May 29th, 2006 in Mosul, Iraq. He was shot by a sniper during a mission as a medic with the 4th Platoon, A Copmpany, Task Force 2-1. He was maintaining security on a Stryker vehicle. Jeremy was born, June 27th, 1980 to Connie and Michael Loveless in Albany, Oregon. He was raised and educated in Gresham, attending Hollydale Elementary School, Dexter McCarthy Middle School and graduated from Gresham High School in 1998. He married Melissa Ann Veley in Estacada on July 1st, 2000. Jeremy completed one year of training to become a firefighter/paramedic with the Estacada Fire Department before joining the Army in 2004. He was an advanced combat media and was serving a one-year tour of duty in Iraq at the time of his death. Jeremy loved volunteer firefighting, paramedic work, target shooting, bicycling, hiking, backpacking, ropes courses and video games. His ambition was to join the Estacada Search and Rescue Team. He is survived by his wife Melissa and daughter, Chloe, age 4, parents Michael and Connie Loveless of Fairview, Oregon, brothers Nic and his wife Amy of Gresham and brother Brandon of San Marcos, Calif. Graandparents, Bud Wininger of Fairview and Lucille Wininger of Wood Village, Oregon, grandmother Genevieve Loveless of Eugene and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to Chloe's Fund at any Washington Mutual Bank, or mailed to the Estacada Fire Department, PO Box 608, Estacada, Oregon 97023. Estacada Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
