Connecticut Girl Found Alive After One Year

Danielle Erica Kramer was reported missing in 2006. Police say the kidnappers were friends of the girl's family.

(BLOOMFIELD, Ct.) - Police in Connecticut say a girl who went missing over a year ago has been found alive. A search warrant was served in Bloomfield, Ct. and the girl was found in a hidden room when they were there to investigate a crime involving another child.

Jeffrey Blatter of Bloomfield, Ct. Police says she was, "A child from some troubled circumstances who thought she found a friend, she went missing over a year ago. The parents are familiar with what is going on and they are talking to us today."

The people accused in her alleged kidnapping are 41-year old Adam Gault and 40-year old Ann Murphy. They face many charges including Unlawful restraint, risk of injury to a minor, and kidnapping.

West Harper investigators are still at the house conducting an investigation.

There was some concern as to the well being of a child. A search in the house was initiated. A bookcase was moved and a secret room was discovered.

To judge how she is now under these circumstances would not be fair. She has been under the influence of a 40-year old.

"It was the equivalent of a little closet under a suitcase," Blatter said.

Investigators talked about the girl's skin color and the paleness, "which makes some investigators believe she has been out of the sun for some time."

They do not know if she ever attempted to leave, there has been no contact from the juvenile for over a year.

This is still an ongoing investigation, this was unexpected that we found her we were there for different circumstances
