High School Graduation Ceremonies Friday will Close Some Salem StreetsSalem-News.comPlease contact the Salem Police Department Youth Services Unit at (503) 588-6257 if you have any questions.
(SALEM, Ore. ) - On Friday evening, McNary, McKay, and North Salem High Schools will be holding graduation ceremonies at the Oregon State Fairgrounds Pavilion and the Armory Building. Due to the large number of people expected to attend the graduations, the Salem and Keizer Police Departments will be working with the school district to mitigate traffic congestion issues in the area. As a result, there will be road closures in the area from 5:00 PM until approximately 10:00 PM on Friday to facilitate the movement of traffic to and from the graduation ceremonies. The closures are as follow: 17th Street NE between Madison and Silverton Rd Sunnyview Rd NE between 16th St and Evergreen St Woodrow St NE at 17th St NE. Please contact the Salem Police Department Youth Services Unit at (503) 588-6257 if you have any questions.
