Petition Group Aids Man Facing Deportation

Justice is increasingly lacking in America.

Walter, about to be deported
Care2 did not reveal the man's last name, but they say he represents the plight of many Americans who are facing increasing threat of deportation to countries they know little about.

(WASHINGTON D.C .) - The Care2 Petition site already has almost ten thousand signatures in their effort to aid a man named Walter, who came to the United States when he was just three years old. Only when he applied for college did he learn he was undocumented.

At 23, Walter was nabbed by federal authorities and held in a detention facility for nearly three weeks -- even though he had no criminal record.

Now he faces deportation.

Care2 says, "No matter what you believe about the issue of immigration, we must remember the real people and their stories at its heart".

They say curt sound bites and campaign stump speeches make for good TV, but they don't do justice for people like Walter.

"There are thousands like him, living at the mercy of a broken and outdated immigration system that rounds people up and tears families apart."

The petition site is having success in their drive to raise awareness of this man's struggle, as well as those of others in a similar position.

They say people should, "Take a compassionate look at the human beings beyond the heated political rhetoric."

It is possible to help, visit the link below to add your name to the petition to help Walter.
