Zip Code Changes for Salem (AUDIO)

(SALEM) - For the first time in 43 years, Salem is getting a new zip code. Salem-News.com's Kevin Hays reports...

Nearly 8,000 addresses from the 97301 zip code are being moved into the new 97313 zip code.

Officials say post office boxes are not affected by the change.

Residents and business owners can begin using the new zip code beginning July 1^st.

Also as part of the change, 8,500 addresses from the 97303 zip code are being moved into the 97301 zip code.
