Oregonians Will Protest and Rally for Parental and Children RightsTim King Salem-News.comIt happens Friday, June 19th at the Salem, Oregon state Capitol, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
(SALEM, Ore.) - Family and child advocates are preparing for the Second Annual Nationwide "Fatherless Day" rallies that will take place in capitol cities in all 50 states. Fathers, mothers, grandparents and children say they will unite on June 19th, 2009 at their State Capitols from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. demanding family law reform. A press release from www.childrenneedbothparents.com, states that "America’s family courts are causing millions of our children undue suffering as a result of rulings which result in one parent, being cut out of their children’s lives. These actions against our children are nothing less than child abuse, the results of which we are just now realizing all across this country. Children from fatherless homes account for: 63% of youth suicides, 70% of juveniles in state operated institutions, 85% of all children that exhibit behavioral disorders and 71% of all high school dropouts. These statistics are just a sample of the adverse effects these rulings are having on our society. The impact is both morally and economically devastating. What kind of future will our children face without these issues being successfully addressed?" They believe equally shared parenting legislation for both fit and willing parents, family court reform and judicial accountability are now mandatory if we are ever to have any semblance of normalcy within our society. They stated, "These actions will result in what truly is in the best interests of our children. Literally everyone, except for those who receive financial compensation for this child abuse agrees, “Our Children need BOTH fit and willing parents as active participants in their lives." Organizations across the country that are sponsoring and supporting this event are: Fathers 4 Justice, Families-4-Justice, Parental Alienation Awareness Organization, Dads of Michigan, Live Beat Dads, and United Civil Rights Organization of America. A wide array of speakers from across the country will be attending. They will be addressing the injustices of the family court, CSD, foster care and more.

Fatherlessness is seldom discussed. The government would have you believe men and fathers look like chimpanzees and roosters. At least those were the posters depicting men in the Texas Attorney General's offices several years ago! Truth is men and fathers are critical to a child. We should be asking ourselves just why it is that *EQUALITY* is not given to men where children are concerned! We should be asking ourselves just why it is that many apparently believe a child does not have an *EQUAL* right to each and both parents! Some of the reason we do not get the correct news is because State Attorney General's collect 17 cent on the dollar of monetary child support collected, kicked back to them by the Federal Government! How se that folks?? the government commodifying your children! Michele Brosnan June 19, 2009 8:45 am (Pacific time) Thank you for keeping people informed of the Parental Rights Rally.
