Man From Police Standoff Remains at LargeTim King Salem-News.comPolice say Todd Nelson, the subject of a SWAT team standoff earlier in the week, is reported to be armed and is considered dangerous.
(SALEM) - A man who was the subject of an hours-long standoff with Salem Police Monday night and early Tuesday morning remains at large. Investigators are hoping that a member of the public may help lead police to the location 41-year old Todd Nelson. Todd Alan Nelson is described as 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, with brown Hair and blue eyes. Salem Police Lt. Bill Kolhmeyer says Nelson has warrants for Parole Violation, Delivery of Methamphetamine and Eluding a Police Officer. On Monday evening Salem Police officers got information that he was in a house at 2115 Liberty St N.E. however after trying to make contact for several hours officers found the house to be empty. At this time Nelson's whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information about Nelson is asked to call the Salem Police Department at 503-588-6123.
