Fatal Crash Closes Highway 18 Near Valley Junction

State Police and local emergency responders are on the scene. Highway 18 was completely closed in both directions for several hours. Around 2:30 PM, a pilot car begain guiding traffic around the scene of the fatal crash.

(SALEM) - Police and fire crews are on the scene of a fatal traffic crash on Highway 18 just east of Valley Junction. The incident was reported just after 11:00 AM. According to Oregon State Police, initial reports indicate three vehicles are involved in the crash, one of which has caught fire. State Police and local emergency responders are on the scene. Highway 18 was completely closed in both directions for several hours. Around 2:30 PM, a pilot car begain guiding traffic around the scene of the fatal crash. Troopers say- ODOT enroute is reposponding, more information will be released as it becomes available.
