Police Seek Rape Suspect in The Dalles

(THE DALLES, Ore.) - Oregon State Police and Wasco County District Attorney's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a 22-year old man from The Dalles area, who failed to appear Friday for a hearing related to rape, sodomy and sex abuse charges.

Police say 22-year old Alejandro Morales Morales of The Dalles, was one of four suspects arrested related to a June 2007 rape in an orchard near The Dalles.

Cases against three of the suspects have been adjudicated including convictions against two suspects last Friday. Morales failed to appear June 27th for a suppression hearing in Wasco County Circuit Court and a judge issued a Failure to Appear arrest warrant.

Morales was last seen Saturday, June 21st, in The Dalles. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5'6", 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a maroon 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse displaying Oregon license 471 CMV.
