(SALEM) - With the number of written and voiced stories that he cranks out seven days a week, you would think Salem-News.com's Kevin Hays would have plenty to do. Indeed, it is hard to slow down journalists with Kevin's level of enthusiasm and energy, and those who know him well were not entirely surprised to learn that as he generates a steady flow of words for our viewers, Kevin Hays is quickly mastering a new talent. In addition to being Salem-News.com's News Director, Kevin Hays is now capturing the images as well on a new digital camera. Kevin has been writing news on Salem-News.com for nearly two years. He has been doing voice work for the last three months in our newly launched audio news reports. He voices video stories, he reports for 1190 KEX, and now he has discovered that he has a real talent for snapping a great still shot too. Kevin's first photo layout is in our sports section, and there is a link to it at the bottom of this story so you can check it out. Visitors to Salem-News.com can look forward to more photo layout pieces. A desire to show the visual side of the stories we report exists in all of us. I have spent most of my life slinging a TV camera, now Kevin joins the fray in our epic visual journey. It is important that people in the media know their potential as well as their limitations. Kevin Hays has shown that he has what it takes to adopt yet another aspect of his profession. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, we believe that Salem, Oregon and the surrounding communities are some of the most beautiful places any person can visit or if they are fortunate, live. It is with this spirit that we bring you new news and information on Salem-News.com each day. Now Kevin can convey his point with additional clarity, through his clean delivery of the part of the story that words sometimes miss. Congratulations buddy.
