Search Warrants Lead to Drug Arrests in AlbanySalem-News.comA total of three people were arrested.
(ALBANY) - Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller says that two unrelated narcotics search warrants served since Friday led to arrests and seizure of dealer quantities of cocaine and marijuana.
Seized during the raid was over 1 ounce of Cocaine, $5000.00 cash, marijuana, packaging material, drug paraphernalia, and scales. Arrested at the scene was 51-year old Richard Albert Dalke who resides at that address. Dalke was charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a school and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dalke was lodged in Linn County Jail and is being held on $26,000.00 bail.
Mueller says that as deputies entered the residence at 1345 Chestnut St. SE in Albany, an adult pit bull attacked them and was shot and killed by a SWAT team member. "Fortunately, no one was injured by the dog," Mueller added. Seized during the raid was over one pound of marijuana, over $15,000..00 in cash, assault rifles, a handgun, large quantities of ammunition, scales, drug paraphernalia, and packaging material. Arrested at the scene was 25-year old Brian Thomas Giddings who resides at that address and 20-year old Jillian Mae Thornton of Halsey. Both subjects were lodged in Linn County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance Marijuana. Each of their bail is currently set at $26,000.00
