UPDATE: One Lane Now Open on Highway 99E After Fatal Traffic Accident

(BROOKS) - The Oregon State Police is reporting that a fatal traffic accident has Highway 99E down to one lane south of Brooks.

OSP says the accident occurred on Highway 99E one-half-mile south of Brooks.

Preliminary information indicates at approximately 2:00 PM the female victim's vehicle was southbound on Highway 99E near milepost 42 when, for an unknown reason, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Toyota received non-life threatening injuries and was transported for treatment
