Police Find Meth, Other Drugs While Searching SE Salem Home

Two children were taken into protective custody by DHS.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Police found meth and other drugs in a southeast Salem home early Thursday morning following a traffic stop on Lancaster Drive SE.

Police said it all began just after 1:00 AM when Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lancaster Drive SE.

The driver 38-year-old Joani Lynn DeBoar was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

During her arrest, the DeBoar admitted to selling drugs, and police obtained a warrant to search her home police said.

Upon searching DeBoar's home police found methamphetamine and other drugs.

Two children were taken into protective custody by DHS.

DeBoar is logged in the Marion County Jail on methamphetamine possession, drug distribution and child endangerment charges.
