5 Salem Children Attacked by Dogs

(SALEM, Ore. ) - On Friday afternoon, Marion County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Meadow Park Loop, near Fisher Road, regarding the report of 5 children who were bitten by dogs.

The children were on their way home from school when 2 dogs attacked and bit them on the legs. Two of the children, ages 9 and 10 were transported to Salem Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The other children received minor bites and did not require medical attention.

Both dogs were contained and turned over to Marion County Dog Control. The dogs are described as a young Pit Bull (1 or 2 years of age) and a Lab/Golden Retriver Mix. The owner of the dogs has not been located at this time.
