(SAN FRANCISCO ) - AudioDraft, the provider of innovative crowdsourced audio design contests, today announced that it has launched a contest, at www.audiodraft.com/helpjapan, to select the five best songs associated with relief and healing to be published through online music stores, including iTunes, Amazon, and others. The proceeds will go toward tsunami and earthquake relief efforts.

AudioDraft aims to raise $100,000 toward Red Cross Japan Aid efforts. The company has contributed $1,000 to launch its campaign and will contribute an additional $1 for every song submitted to the contest.

AudioDraft, which enables production companies to create sound design contests that activate a worldwide community of talented composers, enables listeners to each relief song to 'Like' the songs they favor and spread both the musical content and the relief cause across social networks.

AudioDraft has also released a banner pack, available at http://www.audiodraft.com/helpjapan/banners.zip, which allows users to link back to the campaign page.

The global music community has always risen to the occasion of supporting, and sometimes leading, relief efforts during tragedies such as the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

By making the Japan relief music production effort a community endeavor, we can help raise greater awareness and relief funds simultaneously, said Teemu Yli-Hollo, CEO and co-founder of AudioDraft.

We believe that the crowd can determine the best songs for this contest, and provide community-based input that will offer an ongoing resource for fundraising as well.

The Help Japan campaign is an outgrowth of AudioDraft?s business crowdsourcing model, in which companies decide how much they are willing to pay for audio productions, and the selected winners gain cash prizes, acclaim and visibility for their work.

The new Affiliate Program enables AudioDraft users to earn a share of prize money by encouraging new companies to source their audio design projects through AudioDraft.

Affiliates are rewarded for each contest they bring to AudioDraft. The affiliate reward depends on the prize money set by the contest organizer. For a limited time until the end of April, 2011, affiliates will be rewarded with 10% of the prize money of each contest they bring to AudioDraft. Affiliate rewards are automatically paid after each contest.

AudioDraft has its roots in Finland's Aalto University and operates in close collaboration with the Aalto Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE). Aalto University and ACE also have a strong role in AudioDraft's entrance in the US market.
