(SALEM) - The Salem Police Department is holding its monthly community conversation program to increase the communication between the Hispanic community and Salem law enforcement officials.

The program is conducted in Spanish and also serves as a way to have increased understanding about each culture.

The program, known as Pláticas con la Policía, covers different topics regarding the various services provided by the police department and their policies and procedures.

Equally as important, the community conversations include information about ways to maintain a safe community for all.

The program will take place on Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, at the Salem Public Library in the Anderson Room.
