Two More Teens Arrested in Molalla Sex Abuse InvestigationSalem-News.comThe two boys face a long list of charges.
(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police detectives took into custody an 18-year old male senior and a 17-year old male junior Wednesday afternoon at Molalla High School related to a criminal investigation into alleged sexual misconduct involving some members of the boy's high school basketball team during a December 2006 road trip. Wednesday's arrests follow April 26th's arrest of a 17-year old male juvenile on similar charges. According to lead OSP Detective Terri Cassebarth there are no further arrests anticipated at this time. 18-year-old John William Berokoff, age 18, from Beavercreek, was taken into custody for Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, Sex Abuse in the First Degree, Coercion, and Harassment. OSP is transporting Berokoff to the Clatsop County Jail in Astoria where he will be lodged pending an appearance in Clatsop County Circuit Court. According to Deputy District Attorney Ron Brown, an arraignment is tentatively scheduled for Thursday at 1:15 PM. The 17-year old juvenile male is also being transported to Clatsop County where he will be detained pending a court appearance. OSP started the investigation in late January 2007 after information was forwarded through Deschutes County Sheriff's Office when it was learned the investigation may involve more than one jurisdiction when the boy's team traveled to the Seaside and Sisters areas during late December.
