Are Vaccines Obsolete?

(LONDON) - CBS has opened with the questions surrounding vaccination in broadcasting work by Helen Ratajczak.

"The article in the Journal of Immunotoxicology is entitled 'Theoretical aspects of autism: Causes--A review.' The author is Helen Ratajczak, surprisingly herself a former senior scientist at a pharmaceutical firm. Ratajczak did what nobody else apparently has bothered to do: she reviewed the body of published science since autism was first described in 1943. Not just one theory suggested by research such as the role of MMR shots, or the mercury preservative thimerosal; but all of them.

Ratajczak's article states, in part, that "Documented causes of autism include genetic mutations and/or deletions, viral infections, and encephalitis [brain damage] following vaccination [emphasis added]. Therefore, autism is the result of genetic defects and/or inflammation of the brain." ...

A number of independent scientists have said they've been subjected to orchestrated campaigns to discredit them when their research exposed vaccine safety issues, especially if it veered into the topic of autism. We asked Ratajczak how she came to research the controversial topic. She told us that for years while working in the pharmaceutical industry, she was restricted as to what she was allowed to publish. "I'm retired now," she told CBS News. "I can write what I want."

... many government officials and scientists have implied that theories linking vaccines to autism have been disproven, and Ratajczak states that research shows otherwise.

Dr. Ratajczak's work has added greatly to the vaccination controversy which continues to grow. The growing controversy, the increasing yet unexplained sicknesses, and the effort to stifle scientists are signs of a failing paradigm.

Vaccines are being propped up by financial interests and political power but as the side effects they cause (including predictable deaths) mount up, that prop is inadequate to hide a medical reality that vaccines are failing. One need only look at a short list of references on vaccines showing they are causing the diseases they are purported to prevent and are generating additional diseases, to recognize something is fundamentally wrong.

At this point, questions are being asked about the faulty science of bypassing the body's immune defense system to inject foreign protein into people, something the body must reject. The body, after vaccination, would be left futilely attacking itself to rid itself of those injected foreign proteins and substances, things that could never have gotten past the body's protective defenses except via insertion by vaccines. This self attack is the definition of autoimmune diseases now at epidemic levels and increasing.

Shiv Chopra, microbiologist, vaccine developer and vaccine safety official, describes how vaccines actually violate the laws of biology.

Vaccines are under serious question now but in fact, they are unnecessary. Overwhelming medical evidence shows there is an effective and entirely safe alternative, thus a far superior treatment for infectious diseases.

Yes, the vaccinations for these treatable infectious diseases are completely unnecessary when one has the access to proper treatment with vitamin C. With vaccines proven to cause damage, deaths and more diseases; with the assumed science behind vaccines actually contradicting the basics of biology; with vaccines being promoted and forced on populations primarily by financial interests and political corruption; what is left of vaccines medically?

Given studies over 75 years to back up IV vitamin C cures of the very infectious diseases for which vaccines have been promoted, the logic becomes inescapable - vaccines are medically obsolete.

Unfortunately, Tom Levy, M.D.'s claims are not entirely solid... He's a specialist in the wrong field; also it's necessary to have a significant amount of peer review to see if the results are accurate in things like double-blind tests, etc. Otherwise you could just be looking at things like environmental factors making the difference between getting and not getting diseases.

I have a Grandson that we chose not to vaccinate , and now at 3 he is not developing as he should and is being tested for Autism. And he can not be tested or enter any Head start program until,guess what... he is vaccinated!

I have 4 children. One with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. They all are fully vaccinated. There were no bells or whistles going off either before nor after they got vaccines. The one who has ASD was NEVER sick after a shot. He NEVER had a condition that would suggest his condition. Still to this day he is remarkably healthy. This is just junk science. They want money to study this. The say that non vaccinated children vs vaccinated children would help prove this. I highly doubt it. Autism, like many mental development delays, only becomes noticeable as the child ages. This is because they do not meet the normal milestones of other children at a similar age. I think research money would be better spent looking for a genetic causation. After all, you have families where all kids are autistic (meaning more than one child) and some that only have one autistic child out of the 2 or more kids. This is being studied and I think this will show much better than if someone was given a vaccine... Just a thought.

All information in this survey will be used to compile data to look at an assortment of similarities and differences of children on the spectrum. Additional follow up questions or clarifications may be sent to your inbox, this is due to the personalization approach we are taking in conducting this survey. During and after the collection process, we will then publish the resulting numbers on as many channels as possible. None of your personal information that you provide will be made public without your permission. The data published will be strictly numbers and the accompanying category. An example would be; we surveyed 200 children on the spectrum in New York. 100 of those children are reported to experience seizures. And depending on the category it would continue to break down. Our hope is to spur further investigation in areas that we feel deeply affect a lot more kids on the spectrum than previously thought and we want to get an idea of how many kids on the spectrum suffer GI issues vs those who don’t, how many had visible regression vs showed symptoms from birth, and the list goes on. I can tell you why officials do not want a real study done: money. There is no money in health, only in disease as regards symptomatic treatment (which does not work to correct the dis ease). A cycle of suffering because people will pay for relief, even fake relief.

"Dr. Bernadine Healy, former head of the National Institutes of Health, was on CBS News in 2008 calling for research on the children who became sick following vaccinations, especially ones who regressed into autism." And such a study was performed. Hornig, et al. They looked at children with autism and gastrointestinal symptoms. They found no data linking the children's disability to the MMR vaccine. "We need honest, independent science on this most critical issue." Very, very ironic. Unfortunately, those promoting vaccine causation have not had honest, independent science. This is true. But it is the research promoting the idea that has been fraught with dishonest people. For example, they have relied up people like Mark Geier, who has promoted the idea through very poor science. This is the same man who just lost his license for his unethical treatment of disabled children.

@ Garrett - he used to be employed at Health Canada. He was fired along with two co-workers shortly after they revealed under testimony that Monsanto had bribed them with 2 million dollars to make sure GMO's were approved despite scientific evidence that they cause increases in several cancers, miscarraiges, etc., etc. Chopra is an East Indian Hindu born and raised in the Punjab, where he received in 1957 a B.VSc. from Punjab Veterinary College. He then worked at the Biologics Production and Quality Control Research Department at the Punjab Veterinary College. He immigrated to Canada around 1964, where he then received his PhD in Microbiology from McGill University in Montreal. After obtaining his PhD at McGill, he moved to England to work for Miles Laboratories. In 1969 Chopra moved back to Canada and began his career with Health Canada as a drug evaluator for the Bureau of Human Prescription Drugs at Health Canada, a Canadian government agency. In 1987, he applied and was selected to work at the Bureau of Veterinary Drugs, another of Health's Canada bureaus where he worked until being fired in June 2004

Hepatitis B Vaccination of Male Neonates and Autism

PURPOSE: Universal newborn immunization with hepatitis B vaccine was recommended in 1991; however, safety findings are mixed. The Vaccine Safety Datalink Workgroup reported no association between hepatitis B vaccination at birth and febrile episodes or neurological adverse events. Other studies found positive associations between
hepatitis B vaccination and ear infection, pharyngitis, and chronic arthritis; as well as receipt of early intervention/special education services (EIS); in probability samples of U.S. children. Children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) comprise a growing caseload for EIS. We evaluated the association between hepatitis B vaccination of male neonates and parental report of ASD.

METHODS: This cross-sectional study used U.S. probability samples obtained from National Health Interview Survey 1997-2002 datasets. Logistic regression modeling was used to estimate the effect of neonatal hepatitis B vaccination on ASD risk among boys age 3-17 years with shot records, adjusted for race, maternal education, and two-parent household.

RESULTS: Boys who received the hepatitis B vaccine during the first month of life had 2.94 greater odds for ASD (nZ31 of 7,486; OR Z 2.94; p Z 0.03; 95% CI Z 1.10, 7.90)
compared to later- or unvaccinated boys. Non-Hispanic white boys were 61% less likely to have ASD (ORZ0.39; pZ0.04; 95% CIZ0.16, 0.94) relative to non-white boys.

CONCLUSION: Findings suggest that U.S. male neonates vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine had a 3-fold greater risk of ASD; risk was greatest for non-white boys.

This new study from France utilizes a new and sophisticated measurement for environmental toxicity by assessing porphyrin levels in autistic children. It provides clear and unequivocal evidence that children with autism spectrum disorders are more toxic than their neurotypical peers.

Excerpt: "Coproporphyrin levels were elevated in children with autistic disorder relative to control groups...the elevation was significant. These data implicate environmental toxicity in childhood autistic disorder."

Abstract: To address a possible environmental contribution to autism, we carried out a retrospective study on urinary porphyrin levels, a biomarker of environmental toxicity, in 269 children with neurodevelopmental and related disorders referred to a Paris clinic (2002–2004), including 106 with autistic disorder. Urinary porphyrin levels determined by high-performance liquid chromatography were compared between diagnostic groups including internal and external control groups. Coproporphyrin levels were elevated in children with autistic disorder relative to control groups. Elevation was maintained on normalization for age or to a control heme pathway metabolite (uroporphyrin) in the same samples. The elevation was significant (P < 0.001). Porphyrin levels were unchanged in Asperger's disorder, distinguishing it from autistic disorder. The atypical molecule precoproporphyrin, a specific indicator of heavy metal toxicity, was also elevated in autistic disorder (P < 0.001) but not significantly in Asperger's. A subgroup with autistic disorder was treated with oral dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) with a view to heavy metal removal. Following DMSA there was a significant (P = 0.002) drop in urinary porphyrin excretion. These data implicate environmental toxicity in childhood autistic disorder.

Abstract
A recent report shows a correlation of the historical use of thimerosal in therapeutic immunizations with the subsequent development of autism; however, this association remains controversial. Autism occurs approximately four times more frequently in males compared to females; thus, studies of thimerosal toxicity should take into consideration gender-selective effects. The present study was originally undertaken to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of thimersosal in male and female CD1 mice. However, during the limited MTD studies, it became apparent that thimerosal has a differential MTD that depends on whether the mouse is male or female. At doses of 38.4-76.8mg/kg using 10% DMSO as diluent, seven of seven male mice compared to zero of seven female mice tested succumbed to thimerosal. Although the thimerosal levels used were very high, as we were originally only trying to determine MTD, it was completely unexpected to observe a difference of the MTD between male and female mice. Thus, our studies, although not directly addressing the controversy surrounding thimerosal and autism, and still preliminary due to small numbers of mice examined, provide, nevertheless, the first report of gender-selective toxicity of thimerosal and indicate that any future studies of thimerosal toxicity should take into consideration gender-specific differences.

This article was sent to me by a friend and now I have to tell them that it's so full of garbage that it would be laughable if I didn't know that so many people took this mess so seriously. I really don't even know where to even start picking it apart but has anyone even considered that autism has perhaps been around for much longer than medical science has been able to diagnose it? And auto-immune diseases such as arthritis have been verified in the bones of our Cro-Magnon ancestors which was long before any vaccines existed. And no there will never be any disease that will be completely wiped out by any vaccine but what is the alternative that you're willing to chance your children's lives with? Would you rather we go back to our Grandparents childhoods before vaccines where they feared summertime and asked the question of "I wonder who's getting Polio this summer?". I've never had Polio but I saw older people who had it as a kid if they were lucky enough to live through it. Let's not send our kids back to those times. And also, even now that most childhood vaccines, except the flu, are no longer using Thimerosal since 2001 we still have kids being diagnosed with autism so explain where this lingering connection is now. And what's with this Vitamin C myth that lingers on? That was proven as bunk science over a decade ago. Yes your body needs Vit C but it doesn't cure anything except Scurvy and that has nothing to do with vaccines! Everyone I grew up with has been getting vaccines for 40+ years and we're all doing well thank you. Looking forward to my next one!

Thank you for the article. Vaccine damage is extensive, and, in many instances debilitating - even fatal. Were vaccines hawked on TV like other drugs, the following accurate disclaimer, based on existing reports in the national Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), the manufacturers' own product inserts and work the French have done specifically on the adverse effect of the aluminum adjuvants currently and commonly used in vaccines, would have to be included: (Check with your doctor – the vaccine is contraindicated in some circumstances; for instance, if you’ve had a prior adverse reaction to the DTaP vaccine, or are immunocompromised. Some people experience nausea immediately following vaccination, or within a few hours. The aluminum adjuvant in the vaccine, used to stimulate the immune system, may leave a hard lump at the injection site, which may be hot to the touch – this will typically dissipate in a few days, but has been known to effect muscle pain and chronic fatigue, and, though rare, may trigger development of autoimmune disease, such as multiple sclerosis (MS) or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease); consult with your doctor at the first sign of any such reaction. The vaccine recipient may issue a high-pitched shriek sometime within the twenty-four hours following vaccination, which may indicate brain inflammation, and may be followed by a lengthy period of regression – consult with your doctor. The DTaP may cause bulging fontanelle in infants – this typically subsides after a few days, but may indicate brain damage; be alert for unusual behaviors, and call your doctor should you detect any. Also in infants, reports associate SIDS with the vaccine; for a period of about three weeks following vaccination, do not place your infant face-down. And, you may experience any combination of the following reported reactions, some of which may require hospitalization: abdominal pain, anaphylactic shock, apnoea, autism, bacterial/viral infections, convulsions, disintegrative disorder, coma, abnormal EEG, blood disorders, diabetes, eye movement disorder, hearing loss, trouble walking, narcolepsy, paralysis, pneumonia, impairment of psychomotor skills, screaming, and speech disorders. This vaccine has not been evaluated for carcinogenic or mutagenic potential, or for impairment of fertility.) Please; educate before you vaccinate.

The keys to maintaining any unsafe commercial activity are misdirection, disinformation, big lies, and pervasive propaganda. To be effective, the commercial interests use persons whom the public trusts. These spokespersons then promote the activity. They lie about its risks. They portray an activity that is less than safe as not only safe but also desirable. In the place of proof of safety, these propagandists invariably tout the “lack of evidence of harm”. In addition, the promoters of an unsafe activity do all they can to bury studies that question the activity’s safety under an avalanche of “recognized” studies that are peddled as showing “no evidence of harm”. Those who benefit from the commercial activity also do all they can to discredit those persons who dare to publish studies that question the safety of the activity. Further, they use their wealth to buy other “experts” to refute any link between the activity and the harm that it inflicts on the “general public”.

@anne Recognized expert? I'm quite suspect to his status as an "expert". No foreign protein can be absorbed into the blood stream? WTF is wrong with this guy. Fall and scrape your arm open. Guess what, bacteria and pathogens are constantly trying to get in there. And sometimes they do. Hopefully your body's cytokines work that work to bring white blood cells to the tissue via the blood stream and clot the cut so you don't get sepsis. This so called expert is clearly not an expert. And please state what medical literature says that you can prevent "many viral infections" with vitamin C. Are you kidding me? This whole article is a scam.

Here is a recognized expert saying that vaccines are suspect in autism. Some may call her proposals merely "theories," but they need to be researched. The truth is, legitimate studies haven't been done by health officials.
