(SALEM) - Salem fire investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire inside a moblie food truck early this morning.

Salem fire spokesman Bill Holstrom says firefighters were called out just after 7:00 AM to a vehicle fire ar 2309 Cherry Ave NE.

When crews arrived they had a fully involved mobile food unit.

The vehicle was parked next to the owners' home, so fire fighters were concerned that the fire would spread to the home.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the vehicle, preventing it from spreading to the home.

Fire fighters had the fire extinguished within 10 minutes of their arrival.

The vehicle was a total loss.

No injuries occurred due to the fire.

Damage was estimated at over $30,000.
