Shooting Near Campus Places Portland College in Temporary Lockdown

The campus closure has been lifted, no students were hurt.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland Community College officials closed the Cascade Campus of Portland Community College and placed it in lockdown after a shooting in an adjacent neighborhood. At this point the lockdown at the community college has been lifted.

Portland Police confirm that they were sent to the campus after at least one shot was fired near Killingsworth and Albina streets in North Portland.

The lockdown began at approximately 3:37 PM today when at least one shot was fired near Killingsworth and Albina Streets in North Portland, police say.

The Portland Police Bureau has declared that there is no threat, and the lockdown was lifted at approximately 3:58 PM this afternoon.
