(SALEM) - Good Morning! Here is your morning Salem and Portland traffic and weather report from Salem-News.com.

Salem area traffic report: Expect normal backups heading into the city this morning on Commercial St, the Center Street Bridge, Lancaster Drive, and Mission St. I-5 between Salem and Portland, and Highway 22 east and west are reported clear.

Portland area traffic report: No accidents being reported. Expect the usual delays heading into the downtown area.

Salem Road Construction Report:

Lone Oak Rd SE Between Holder Ln SE and Mildred Ln SE. Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Lone Oak Road SE between Holder Lane SE and Mildred Lane SE will be closed to all thru traffic.A detour route using Valleywood Drive SE and Sunnyside Road SE will be in place. This closure is for street improvement and paving a portion of Lone Oak Road as part of a new development.

Wiltsey Rd SE Between Commercial St SE and Reed Ln SE. Today thru 5/15, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Lane closure with flaggers for water line installation for new development.

Market St NE Between 17th St NE and Capitol St NE. Now thru 6/11, 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Market St NE is closed to through traffic between Capitol St NE and 17th St NE for sewer and waterline construction. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services at all times. Detour routes will be in place. Westbound traffic will use 17th St NE, Sunnyview Rd NE, Fairgrounds Rd NE, and Summer St NE. Eastbound traffic will use Summer St NE, D Street NE, and 17th St NE.

Polk County Road Construction Report:

Zena Road will be paved today through Friday, May 18th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay. No work will take place on Saturday or Sunday.

Spring Valley Road will have shoulder rock work done today through Tuesday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay. No work will take place on Saturday or Sunday.

Red Prairie Road will have shoulder rock work done today through Tuesday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Riddell Road will be paved from Monmouth to Orrs Corner Road today through Thursday, May 17th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay. No work will take place on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Orrs Corner Road will be paved from Dallas to Hwy 99 starting Wednesday, May 16th through Friday, May 18th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay.

Airlie Road, Elkins Road, and Maple Grove Road will be patch paved Wednesday, May 16th through Friday, May 18th. Travelers should expect minimal delays.

Rogers Road will be paved starting Friday, May 18th through Monday, May 21st. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20 minute delay. No work will be done on Sunday.

Linn County Road Construction Report:

Albany - Hoefer Road Bridge reconstruction, today thru June 14th, 1/10 mile North of Dever Conner Drive.

Corvallis Road Construction Report:

Hwy 99W from Kiger Island to Chapman Pl:

Work will generally occur at night between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM Mon-Thu, except between Tunison and Goodnight Avenues where it will occur during the day between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Mon-Fri. One lane in each direction of travel may be closed to traffic at various times during a work session. The median lane will be impassable through the work zones due to island construction. No lane closures will be allowed in the high-volume direction of travel during commute hours (between 7-9 AM no northbound lane closures will be allowed; between 4:00-6:00 PM no southbound lane closures will be allowed).

  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs 75 to 80. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph shifting to the west 10 to 15 mph late in the afternoon.
  • Wednesday: Becoming mostly cloudy. Highs 65 to 70. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Thursday: Morning clouds then partly sunny. Highs 65 to 70.
  • Friday: Partly sunny. Highs around 70.
  • Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs 60 to 65.
  • Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs around 65.
