(GRESHAM, Ore.) - Police in Gresham say a fight involving as many as seven people has led to three people receiving knife wounds, one of them died from his injuries.

39-year old Scott E. Moore of Gresham died at Emanuel hospital, where he had been taken following his injuries suffered in the fight. 16-year old Jesse J. Loyer and 17-year old Leland E. Larsen, both of Gresham, also suffered stab wounds in the fight. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Sgt. Claudio Grandjean with Gresham Police says detectives are still sorting through the night's events, but they do know that the three men stabbed went to a nearby residence to call the police at 11:38 PM on May 14th.

Police eventually learned that the three and one other person had been involved in a fight against three other unknown men, in a strip-mall parking lot at Burnside and Powell. This was the second confrontation between the two groups that night, according to information learned by detectives.

The suspects are still outstanding, but little is known of them. They were on foot and are of unknown race, in their 20's or 30's. Police believe they may have been hanging around the area of the strip-mall or the Fred Meyer across Burnside, at 2441 E Burnside.
