Portland Police Investigating Shooting Death in North Portland

Anyone with information about this morning's shooting is urged to call detectives.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating an overnight shooting death at North Trenton and Newman in the New Columbia neighborhood.

Based on preliminary information, detectives believe that the shooting is gang-related.

The victim, an 18-year old male, died at the scene.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy this morning, after which the victim's name will be released.

Gang Investigators are working closely with Homicide Detectives to follow-up leads this morning.

No suspect information is available at this time and no arrests have been made.
