McMinnville Man Arrested on Sex ChargesSalem-News.comInvestigators fear that there maybe more victims that still have not yet come forward.
(MCMINNVILLE) - A McMinnville man was arrested Tuesday on charges relating to the sexual abuse of a McMinnville youth. Lt. Ken Summers with the Yamhill County Sheriff`s office says 59-year old David A. Stefan, of 20400 Baker Creek Road, was arrested at 1:04 PM by a multi-agency team of investigators as he arrived at a McMinnville restaurant to meet with the 17-year-old boy. Simultaneously, a search warrant was executed at his residence. Stefan was subsequently lodged in the Yamhill County Correctional Facility on 10 counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse, 10 counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, 2 counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse, 1 count of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, and Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Summers said. Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said that detectives began the investigation earlier this month when the victim reported that he had been sexually abused by Stefan. `We were told that the victim had been subjected to sexual contact while employed by Stefan at Cheers Restaurant in Sheridan" Crabtree said. The youth said that he was also subjected to abuse at Stefan`s McMinnville home. Sheriff Crabtree is concerned that there may be more youths who have not yet reported their victimization. Sheriff Crabtree is asking that anyone who has information on Mr. Stefan, or unlawful activities at Stefan`s home or business, contact Yamhill County Sheriff`s Detectives at (503) 434-7508. Related
