Exchange Clubs of Salem and Keizer Officer/Dispatcher Of The Year HonoreesSalem-News.com
(SALEM) - Six law enforcement individuals were recognized at the Exchange Clubs of Salem`s annual Officer/Dispatcher Of The Year luncheon held on Wednesday. Each honoree was presented with a plaque recognizing outstanding contributions they have made to the community and their agency. The Honorees this year were: Officer Andrew Copeland of the Keizer Police Department Officer Copeland joined the Keizer Police Department in 2002. He is a member of the Salem Interagency SWAT team, he is also a range master and defensive tactics instructor. Officer Sean Bennett of the Salem Police Department. Officer Bennett has been with the Salem Police Department for over 10 years. He is a member of the agencies SWAT team and has served as a member of the department`s Street Crimes Unit. Trooper Joshua Brooks of the Oregon State Police Trooper Brooks has served as an intern at various State Police patrol offices around the state, as a State Police Cadet and has been serving as Trooper for the past four and a half years. Communications Specialist Scott Burwash of the Willamette Valley Communications Center Scott has been with the center since 2000. He is a Communications Training Officer and is a trainer for the centers COPLINK program. Detective Burney Krauger of the Polk County Sheriff`s Office Detective Krauger has been in law enforcement for 21 years. He is a member of the Attorney General`s Sexual Assault Task Force. He has been instrumental in developing an ongoing partnership between law enforcement and the community in Polk County. Detective Chris Bangs of the Marion County Sheriff`s Office Detective Bangs is a member of the agencies SWAT team. He has been a key speaker at community events regarding the problem of methamphetamine. He is currently serving as a Gang Enforcement Deputy in the agencies Street Crimes Unit. Related
