Salem Police Investigating Kidnap/Sexual Assault

(SALEM) - Salem Police Detectives are investigating a Kidnap/Sexual Assault that occurred on May 12th.

Detective Mark Williamson says at approximately 11:45 PM, a lone female was approached in the 2500 block of Liberty St NE by a lone suspect who was armed with a knife.

The suspect forced the victim to drive him to a parking area in the 2500 block of Taylor St NE at which time he sexually assaulted her Williamson said.

The suspect is described as a hispanic male adult, 30-40 years old, 5'8"-5'10", medium build with black hair that was slicked back.

He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan work boots.
