Lane County Man in Critical Condition Following ATV Crash

At this time it doesn’t appear that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash police said.

(SPRINGFIELD, Ore. ) - The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a ATV crash that sent a Lane County man to the hospital in critical condition.

On Monday, at approximately 7:28 PM, Lane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 36100 McGowan Creek Road regarding an ATV crash. This portion of McGowan Creek is an unimproved gravel roadway.

Information gathered at the scene indicated 35-year-old Paul Pantle of Springfield was traveling east on McGowan Creek Road attempting to round a corner when Pantles’ vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Pantle was air lifted to Sacred Heart Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

At this time it doesn’t appear that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash police said.
