(CANBY, Ore.) - Canby Firefighters were dispatched to a one car rollover around 5:30 PM at the intersection of Hwy 170 and Heinz.

When firefighters arrived they found an 18-year old female driver who was injured and required extrication from her vehicle, which was in the middle of a tall grassy field.

Buzalsky says firefighters activated Lifeflight, and the crash victim was transported to Emanuel Hospital. Her injuries were not described as life threatening.

Canby Firefighter Tighe Vroman said the driver was using safety restraints, "We found the patient in her seatbelt....which probably saved her from being ejected from the vehicle, or sustaining life threatening injuries." Vroman continues, "This is a good example for the National Seat Belt Awarness Campaign that's going on right now."
