Open Letter to the Organic Community

It takes real effort to get the right information out to people. is a steamroller in accomplishing this.

Organic food

(SALEM, Ore.) - To the entire organic community including the farmers that support them. I would like to share with you my passion for organic living and my commitment to spreading the word to anyone who will listen. It has become my life’s purpose to discuss the truth about the modern food supply in real terms. Clean, non-GMO food is my sole message to the world. I am a seasoned writer who hopes to educate the public through my poignant articles at

I am proud to be a part of, with over 55 talented writers throughout the world. We are not local, we are international and we carry an international message to folks that know that traditional mainstream media is not giving us the scoop on most world issues.

Salem-News writers are connected and we are committed to the truth and we dare to speak of those matters that the public does not hear about from mainstream corporate news agencies. We get our information from the source and our integrity is diligently guarded.

I do not see any more important issue than clean food for our children and the population of the entire earth. Genetically Modified foods are a detriment to our health and that of the earth.

I believe as a nation we should stand together in a united effort with the most effective tool we have, our money. Their power is our money. Our purchases control the business economy and the food industry. We consumers need to send a clear message. We want access to clean food! We want to know what’s in it, and where it comes from. That’s where you and your business come in, my organic friend.

I have boundless respect for the job you are doing and the way in which you do it. You are an asset to this planet and I personally thank you for it. My family thanks you for it. You have the foresight, the passion and knowledge to put forth a product that allows us to choose clean food for our children, for ourselves and our world. I believe the existence of mankind depends on you and other organic producers that have integrity to provide choice and purity within our food supply. I plan to spread your message. Will you help me?

The world is beginning to understand that we have a food crisis on our hands and eating organic is the only way to avoid the toxic food that has plagued our markets.

The shocking truth is that the American Government is trying to take away your right to label your products and our right to choose. I assert that it is in direct violation of the our individual rights as Americans. The Declaration of Independence defines “Liberty” as a concept of political philosophy that identifies the condition in which an individual has the right to act according to his or her own will.

This is also a blatant disregard for our First Amendment Rights. Our forefathers died to protect them! Have we forgotten who we are? We are Americans!

The Bill of Rights prohibits the making of any law “respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, infringing on the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceable assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances". They have stomped all over these rights to the infinite degree!

Now to top it all off, Obama ran on a platform of transparency and change. His support of and collaboration in the effort to remove labeling of GMO foods fails to facilitate those promises. It is up to us as a nation to hold this administration accountable for the lack of integrity and responsibility regarding the public's right to know and your right to tell them.

Won’t you help me continue this important message? Support and our organic voice. Thank you again, to all organic producers for your contribution to public health through the provision of clean food. You represent the future!

I am proud to say that my daughter is an organic grocer in Oregon City, she is struggling along just like Tim and Bonnie. Doing the right thing doesn't always reap financial rewards. This doesn't seem to bother the likes of Salem News or the Green Grocer. We need to continue to thank the people who are trying to change the world by enabling them to pay their bills.
