City of Salem Updates State Street and Court Street NE Slurry Seal Work

There will be several short lane closures that will affect traffic and parking.

BE AWARE! City of Salem to begin slurry seal project that could cause some minor delays in your travel plans.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - The asphaltic slurry seal scheduled to be completed at selected locations on State Street and Court Street NE has been delayed due to weather concerns. The work has been rescheduled for the week of June 2 through June 6, 2014.

Salem Road and Driveway Co. will be applying an asphaltic slurry seal as part of the remaining work needed to complete the Downtown Street Resurfacing Project. This slurry seal work is weather dependent, but is not anticipated to last longer than a few days.

While the majority of locations to be sealed will be within parking areas, there will be several short lane closures that will affect traffic and parking. These areas include the southern travel lane on State Street east of Winter Street SE, and the intersection of Waverly Street NE and State Street. Parking will not be allowed near the construction areas during this work.

All businesses will remain open.
