(UPDATE) Missing Cherokee Boy Located in North Carolina

The Cherokee Tribal Police Department in North Carolina canceled the Amber Alert on Sunday night after the boy was found safe and reunited with his family. The suspects remain at large at this time.

(Cherokee, N.C.) - The Cherokee Tribal Police Department in North Carolina canceled the Amber Alert on Sunday night after the boy that was earlier reported missing, was found safe and reunited with his family. The suspects in the case remain at large at this time.

The Cherokee Tribal Police Department in North Carolina issued the Amber Alert Sunday after the 14-year old boy was beaten and abducted by two white males.

Derrick Taylor. is a 14-year old American Indian male. He stands five foot five inches and weighs 124 pounds. He has sandy hair, and green eyes.

Derrick was last seen wearing a green hat, green shoes, green shirt and blue jeans.

Cherokee Tribal Police say the suspects are two white males who beat Derrick up and threw him in the back of a gold-colored vehicle.

Again, this Amber Alert for a 14-year old boy from North Carolina is canceled, but if anyone has information on the suspects they should still call the Cherokee Tribal Police Department at (828) 554-6168 or dial 911.
