(Cherokee, N.C.) - The Cherokee Tribal Police Department in North Carolina canceled the Amber Alert on Sunday night after the boy that was earlier reported missing, was found safe and reunited with his family. The suspects in the case remain at large at this time. The Cherokee Tribal Police Department in North Carolina issued the Amber Alert Sunday after the 14-year old boy was beaten and abducted by two white males. Derrick Taylor. is a 14-year old American Indian male. He stands five foot five inches and weighs 124 pounds. He has sandy hair, and green eyes. Derrick was last seen wearing a green hat, green shoes, green shirt and blue jeans.
