Judge Who Ordered Woman to Drop Her Pants Tossed from Bench

The Virginia judge has been reprimanded in the past for several questionable incidents, including his suggestion that a woman should marry her abusive boyfriend.

(RICHMOND, Va.) - Virginia's Supreme Court has given Domestic Relations Court Judge James Michael Shull the boot. A series of bizarre incidents in his courtroom apparently led to the decision.

Records indicate that the judge has earned a reputation for resolving court cases with the toss of a coin, among other questionable actions.

But he also ordered a woman to drop her pants in court so he could examine a leg wound before making a comment to a bailiff about her underwear.

The Virginia judge has been reprimanded in the past for suggesting to a woman that she should marry her abusive boyfriend.

Regarding the decision to remove Shull, Justice Barbara Milano Keenan wrote, "Unless our citizens can trust that judges will fairly resolve the disputes brought before our courts, and treat all litigants with dignity, our courts will lose the public's respect and confidence..."

Wow, how many more wacko judges are out there? What about the unjust ones? Justice Barbara Keenan, there is very little dignity and justice in our courts; most of you judges has already lost a lot of the public's respect and confidence.

There are far too many judges like this still on the bench, especially those who treat the courts and buildings as their own little fiefdoms forgetting they work for the public, not the other way around. Like Judge Lipscomb. Ah well...
