Oregon Supreme Court Upholds Longo Death Sentence

Longo is one of 33 men on death row in Oregon.

(SALEM) - The Oregon Supreme Court Thursday upheld the death sentence of Christian Longo, the man that killed his wife and three children on the Oregon coast. The 32-year-old was sentenced in 2003 to death by lethal injection for killing his wife, MaryJane Longo, and their children, 4-year-old Zachery, 3-year-old Sadie and 2-year-old Madison. He dumped their bodies into coastal waters in 2001. On December 19th, 2001, Zachery's body was pulled out of the waters of Alsea Bay. They later found and recovered the others under Lint Slough Bridge in Waldport. Longo was located in Cancun, Mexico, but when the FBI got there he had already fled. They later found him in Tulum, Mexico courting a German woman. On March 31st, 2003 Longo confessed to killing his wife and daughter Madison. He pled innocent to killing the couples two older children.
