T.V. Junk: Another Drug

Lets always keep in mind that T.V. junk is just as dangerous, if not even more so, than terrorism and drugs.

(MADRID) - It is clear that televised Media walks a path of bad taste, vulgarity, rudeness, and mediocrity. Violence, sex, the addiction to private lives, and the lack of even the most basic moral, ethical, and social life values.

All of this founded upon one objective: the each time more radicalized research for profitability. To reach this objective, the audience is the only thing that matters.

Those T.V. shows that classify themselves as “realities” contain all the elements mentioned above. An exemplary one would be “Big Brother”, the Spaniard reality show hosted by Mercedes Milá, a hard-working woman that is planning to launch the show on “Telecinco”.

This time being the tenth premier. Would it be sane to exhibit how a pregnant woman concludes her last months of pregnancy at Big Brother house? This same scene was aired in Great Britain, an event which infuriated English audience.

The elements and non-values that are promoted through these types of reality shows are not worthy of admiration nor imitation.

Ángela Linares, nicknamed “the blind one from Big Brother” due to her visual deterioration, has be exposed on a weekly porn magazine. Following her example have been Ángela Bustillo, Natacha Jaitt, Magdalena Rouco, and Yola Berrocal – all Big Brother contestants.

Eccentric millionaire, Paris Hilton, cannot live without realities after having starred “My simple Life”, which had four Spring showings until the fifth one experienced a 20 percent rating drop.

The show was cancelled after this occurrence. And yet, the English T.V. network “ITV” has prepared the miss Hilton’s transmission as “Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend”. Hilton will be practically begging through the airing of this reality trash. Paris asserted to be in need of a hefty friend that can be with her at all times, and especially, without betraying her.

Furthermore, the American television and music network, MTV, airs a reality show called “Parental Control”. Here, spouses are replaced because they are no longer pleased with each other.

Another junk reality is that of “Dating in the Dark”, in which the participant has to identify his or her partner using their sense of touch in the dark. A ghoul abnormality.

Lets always keep in mind that T.V. junk is just as dangerous, if not even more so, than terrorism and drugs. (Translated by Gianna A. Sánchez-Moretti)
