Creative Company in McMinnville Honored by Visual Arts AcademySalem-News.comCreative Company receives highest honor in 2007 International Davey Awards.
(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - McMinnville-based Creative Company received a gold award in the 2007 International Davey Awards. The Davey Awards recognize the most remarkable work from small creative-services agencies around the world. The International Academy of the Visual Arts oversees the Davey Awards and their judging. Creative Company won the gold Davey in the Sales Kit/Folder category. The winning sales kit, developed for Forest Grove Lumber Company (FGL) of McMinnville, is comprised of four product brochures, a portfolio folder, a three-ring binder and a matching envelope, each featuring dramatic photos of the forest products company’s high-end products. FGL sells large, top-quality Douglas fir timbers for use as exposed beams in homes and other structures, as well dimension lumber that is not intended to be exposed. “The 2007 Daveys featured an incredible pool of over 4000 entries from the best small firms in the world. Being honored with a Davey Award is truly a great accomplishment. It is a testament to the award winning work you do,” the International Academy of the Visual Arts told Creative Company. “I’m thrilled to be recognized for the work we do on behalf of our clients,” said Jennifer Larsen Morrow, Creative Company president and founder. “I’m extremely proud of our team. Their hard work and dedication really show in the work they are producing, which not only wins awards but, more importantly, gets the results our clients are looking for.” The FGL sales literature system is part of a broader marketing strategy designed to create demand for FGL’s value-added products among architects, timber framers and homeowners. Creative Company developed a new brand identity for FGL, along with an integrated campaign of advertising, tradeshow displays, and the award-winning sales literature, that emphasizes the company’s commitment to innovation, the highest-quality products and exceptional customer service. “I really appreciate what Creative Company has done for us,” said FGL sales manager Gene Secco. “With our new trade-show booth and sales literature, we doubled the number of inquiries we received at the American Institute of Architects’ national convention this year.” Story continues below The 2007 Davey Awards recognizes small firms’ achievements not only in print and collateral pieces but also in commercials, film, video, television, Web sites, online marketing and interactive marketing.
