Three Vehicle Rollover Crash in Keizer Injures TwoSalem-News.comFortunately police say the injures suffered in the crash were only minor.
(KEIZER) - Just after noon, the Keizer Police Department received a report of a traffic crash involving three vehicles at the intersection of River Rd N and Sam Orcutt Wy NE. Police officers arrived at the scene within minutes and observed a red Ford pickup operated by 61-year-old Judy Lay on top of a red Dodge Neon. The pickup was upside down and resting on the hood of the red Neon. The other vehicle involved, a blue Dodge Neon, was also disabled in the roadway. The investigation determined Lay was proceeding southbound on River Rd N and attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Sam Orcutt Wy NE in front of the northbound blue Neon vehicle. The blue Neon struck the Ford pickup causing the pickup to roll over on top of the red Neon. The red Neon was lawfully stopped on Sam Orcutt waiting for the signal to change. The driver of the Ford pickup, including the driver and child passenger of the red Neon, were transported to Salem Hospital for minor injuries. Lay was issued a citation for a dangerous left turn. No other citations were issued. Both directions of River Rd N were partially closed for approximately one hour until the vehicles could be removed from the intersection.
