Republican Sex Scandals Dwarf Those of Democrats

The sexual antics of President Bill Clinton have been a dangerous tool in the Republican campaign arsenal, used to the fullest possible extent, but what have they been up to all these years?

(SALEM, Ore.) - "He who lives in a glass house should not throw stones." It seems that old adage may be lost on the confused mass that we call modern society. The Grand Old Party, once known for controversial abolitionists, has become the moral party of today, or so their elected leaders will tell you.

As we evolve as a nation, too many people seem to be clinging to ideologies that make little sense, fighting against a woman's right to abortion while demanding that schools not teach children sex education or instruct them in the deadly virus, AIDS. It creates a vicious circle when we fight ourselves, and deny education to those who need it most.

Our nation spent more tax money conducting Ken Starr's investigation of President Bill Clinton's affair with intern Monica Lewinsky, than they did in the investigation of the September 11th 2001 attacks on the United States. Many Americans fail to see the logic behind this.

Now Oregon's Governor stands at risk, as a right wing radio pundit named Lars Larson levels an accusation against Kulongoski that could mean he could not be a lawyer in Oregon again. Larson says that Kulongoski had the goods on Goldschmidt years ago. Sources are reporting that he could have known about what has become known as the Goldschmidt scandal, as early as 1994.

Kulongoski walked angrily out of a press conference Tuesday, after a TV reporter asked him about the former governor's involvement with the teenage babysitter.

Perhaps the Governor is guilty of having known something he didn't tell. He stated that he is not, but if he is, he may lose his right to have a license to practice law. That would be a real burn if you were Ted Kulongoski, and quite a feather in the cap of Lars Larson, no doubt about it.

As Lars Larson is totally political in his pursuits and ambitions, we thought it would be interesting to offer perspective by determining just how many Republican lawmakers and officials have endured similar scrutiny in recent years for sexual perversions, extramarital affairs, etc. It is a hard number to pinpoint, it just depends on the number of years you account for.

As a subject, it was important enough to see an impeachment of former President Bill Clinton, so fair seems fair.

Then we ran into a problem with the idea of naming these scandals and their Republican perpetrators; there are so many they would hardly fit on the page. Using data from "Moral Values," these citations are otherwise attributed to the original agencies. Here is a partial list of names of serious problems related to GOP movers and shakers.

Randal David Ankeney is the Republican activist who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a child with force. He was charged with six counts related to getting a 13-year-old girl stoned on pot and then having sex with her. Ankeny has also been accused of sexually assaulting another girl. Jim Bakker is the infamous televangelist who worked with Pat Robertson at Robertson's Christian Broadcasting network. Sources at the time, and then later Jim himself, confirmed that he committed adultery with Jessica Hahn, and then used charitable donations to pay her hush money. Fellow televangelists have stated in the past that they believe he's gay. Bakker was indicted on 23 federal charges of fraud, tax evasion, and racketeering.

Bob Barr is the Republican Congressman from Georgia who sponsored the anti-gay Defense of Marriage Act, saying "The flames of hedonism, the flames of narcissism, the flames of self-centered morality are licking at the very foundation of our society, the family unit." He was married three times, and paid for his second wife's abortion (she also suspected he was cheating on her). he failed to pay child support to the children of his first two wives and while married to his third and present wife and was photographed licking whipped cream off of strippers at his inaugural party.

Parker J. Bena was a Republican activist and a key player in the campaign to elect George W. Bush as President. Bena was charged and later pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and lying to the FBI. Bena reportedly told the feds that he had received an unsolicited e-mail containing pictures of children (some as young as three years old) performing various sexual acts, but agents learned that he had in fact voluntarily entered a number of child pornography websites and downloaded the images himself. This is said to have involved acts with children as young as 3 years old, on his home computer. Parker J. Bena was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison and fined $18,000. Louis Beres is a past chairman of the Christian Coalition of Oregon. Three of his family members accuse him of molesting them as children, when they were pre-teens. In an Editor and Publisher article, in August 2006, Beres confessed to the accusations facing him. The Portland Mercury

John Bolton, President George W. Bush's highly contested appointee ambassador to United Nations is suspected of forcing his former wife to be involved in unsavory group sex acts. Corroborated allegations that Mr. Bolton's first wife, Christina Bolton, was forced to engage in group sex have not been refuted by the State Department despite inquires posed by Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt concerning the allegations. Mr. Flynt has obtained information from numerous sources that Mr. Bolton participated in paid visits to Plato's Retreat, the popular swingers club that operated in New York City in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Jim Bunn Congressman of Oregon: Many attribute the success Jim Bunn experienced in great part to support from the Christian Coalition. Congressman Jim Bunn won his congressional seat, and then sources say that he immediately ditched his wife, the mother of his five children, and married a staffer. Jim Bunn is said to have put his new wife on the state payroll for the unheard-of salary of $97,500, thereby becoming one of the biggest waste and spend conservatives from the state of Oregon. President of the United States George W. Bush, was accused in a criminal complaint and lawsuit of raping Margie Schoedinger, who later died in a questionable case of suicide. Bush was also accused by Tammy Phillips, a former stripper, who was quoted in the National Enquirer in 2000 saying she had an affair with Bush that had ended in 1999. Another serious question involves statements from the wife of Red Blount, whom Bush campaigned for, while possibly A.W.O.L from the Air National Guard at age 26. She stated that he was "all over their 14 year old daughter." Multiple Sources

Neil Bush, brother or G. W. Bush, in a March 2003 divorce deposition, admitted repeatedly having sex with strange women who just showed up at his room while on an Asian business trip. Overshadowing the sex scandal at the time was a business scandal. Neal Bush keeps a low profile and is not seen in public very often. He also has questionable ties to the security of the World Trade Towers in the September 11th 2001 attacks on the United States. Source: Washington Post article

Ken Calvert, Congressman (R-California), has been called the champion of the Christian Coalition and its "family values." But in reality, Ken Calvert was sued as an alimony "deadbeat dad" by his ex-wife who said, "We can't forgive what occurred between the President and Lewinsky." In 1993, Calvert was caught by police officers receiving oral sex from a prostitute. He attempted to flee the scene but apparently couldn't move fast enough to get away from police, and was arrested.

Helen Chenoweth, Congresswoman (R-Id.). In 1995, Chenoweth had denied having an affair when asked about it by The Spokane Spokesman-Review. In 1998 she called (in a campaign ad) for Bill Clinton's resignation saying, "I believe that personal conduct and integrity do matter". Days later she admitted to a six-year adulterous affair with a married associate, but now she claims a pardon from a higher authority: "I've asked for God's forgiveness, and I've received it," she revealed.

Mark Foley, Republican Representative, Florida Sixteenth Congressional District. Resigned after trying to solicit sex from male congressional pages via an instant messenger program. The conversations included his asking a sixteen-year-old "stud" whether his penis was erect and requesting that he take out and measure his penis. The cover-up involved Republican House Majority Leader John Boehner, Ohio Eighth Congressional District and Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert, Illinois Fourteenth District.

Newt Gingrich, well established crusader against legislation that assists women and the poor, has married three times while spouting Christian values the entire time. Newt Gingrich's campaign worker Anne Manning, admitted that she gave Newt oral sex while he was still married to his first wife, essentially placing Newt in the exact same position President Clinton had to endure when Gingrich and his cronies maintained their pressure over the Lewinski incident. Gingrish informed one wife he was filing for divorce while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer treatments. Salon article

Philip Giordano, the former Republican mayor of Waterbury, Connecticut was sentenced by a state court to serve 37 years for forcing two little girls to perform acts of oral sex on him in his Waterbury City Hall office. While investigating municipal corruption, the FBI discovered phone records and pictures of Giordano with a prostitute named Guitana Jones, as well as with her 10-year-old niece and her 8-year-old daughter. 37-years is a very long prison sentence, many said at the time that it still wasn't enough. Rudy Giuliani, New York Mayor and Republican Presidential Candidate, is reported as having had an adulterous affair that failed to stay out of the public light. Groups also cite Giuliani for pocketing an $80,000 fee for speaking at a charity benefit for tsunami aid which raised only $60,000 for the victims themselves. Critics of Giuliani say there will be more revelations about his character and past as his presidential aspirations gain momentum.

Matthew Glavin, president and CEO of the Southeastern Legal Foundation, was a big player in the Clinton Impeachment proceedings, and he has spearheaded a good number of anti-homosexual jihads. He has been arrested multiple times for public indecency, sources report, one time it was for fondling the crotch of the police officer who was arresting him at a national park. Opponents say his actions were treated "with kid gloves" and therefore inadequate.

Neal Horsley is a political figure of the far right, and the author of a website devoted to his advocacy of militant pro-life, secessionist, and anti-gay views. He has called for the arrest of all homosexuals. He admitted on the Fox News Radio's The Alan Colmes Show, that he's had sex with mules. He put photographs on his Web site of naked men engaging in homosexual acts and a nude woman engaging in bestiality amid shots of grotesquely maimed fetuses. Drug dealer convicted of possession of hashish with intent to sell. He calls for "the establishment of a new government, one that can obey God's plan for government."

Lewis "Scooter" Libby is the former Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Cheney who was convicted but recently exempted from having to serve his sentence by the President. In 1996, "Scooter" Libby published a novel containing bizarre sexual content, including bestiality and pedophilia. Other high level White House officials were said to have been involved in the book that Libby published.

Rush Limbaugh is the infamous talk show pundit and advocate of moral values who has been divorced three times. A staunch anti-drug crusader, Limbaugh is in reality, a 30-pill a day drug addict. He also takes questionable trips to locations where many western men travel to buy sex under shady circumstances. It was a return from one of those possibly sordid journeys when one of his drug arrests occurred. Limbaugh was returning from the Dominican Republic. The Rush Limbaugh sex tourism story could seriously lead to his downfall if any of the allegations were founded. "Turnabout is most certainly fair play," is how one news agency worded it. Then there is the report of Rush’s use of Viagra while he was single. Sources: correntewire.com/The Smoking Gun.com

Jeff Miller, (R-Cleveland), Senate Republican Caucus Chairman in Tennessee and the sponsor of Tennessee’s Marriage Protection act. He was divorced in April 2005 because of an affair he was having with an office aid. Miller described the Tennessee Marriage Protection Act as a means of preserving the sanctity of marriage. He opposed an amendment, however, which stated that “Adultery is deemed to be a threat to the institution of marriage and contrary to public policy in Tennessee.”

Joseph M. McDade, 75, was issued a summons on a charge of exposure of his sexual organs, a misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. The longtime Pennsylvania Republican congressman who served for 36 years in the House and now works for a Washington lobbying firm, has been accused of exposing his private parts to two women at a beach resort on Sanibel Island. Bill O'Reilly is the highly controversial right-wing conservative talk show host on Fox News known for the "O'Reilly factor" and the "no spin zone." O'Reilly is highly contested over his ability to polarize people along political lines. Bill O'Reilly has been sued for sexual harassment by his producer. The female Fox News producer named Andrea Mackris filed a lawsuit claiming that he subjected her to repeated instances of sexual harassment and spoke often, and explicitly, to her about phone sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation, the loss of his virginity, and sexual fantasies. He settled with the producer for an undisclosed amount of money.

Bob Packwood, Senator (R-Ore.) resigned in 1995 under a threat of public senate hearings related to 10 female ex-staffers accusing him of sexual harassment. A pro-choice Republican who often rallied for women's rights, Packwood let down generations of supporters, and is a good example of the complexity of human nature, since he supported legislation to protect women’s rights during his 25 years in office while simultaneously making unwanted sexual advances toward many different women. In the end, 19 women testified to outrageous behavior which was mostly carried out when Packwood was drunk. The most damaging was the charge of a former staff woman who was only 17 years old at the time. Packwood might still have survived the challenge had he responded with his former talent for compromise, but he was defiant and confrontational, trying to bully his way through the situation and alienating even his friends, it is reported.

George Roche III, carried on a 19 year affair with his son's wife, while serving as president of Hillsdale College, which "emphasizes the importance of the common moral truths that bind all Americans, while recognizing the importance of religion for the maintenance of a free society." The scandal broke out in 1999 when the wife of George Roche IV, Lissa Jackson Roche, claimed to have had an affair spanning 19 years with her husband's father. Shortly after, she was found dead in the college's arboretum with a handgun, and the death was ruled a suicide. Following his resignation in November 1999, Roche left public life and moved to Colorado.

Joe Scarborough, former Republican Congressman, is currently a conservative talk show host. He resigned his congressional seat abruptly to spend more time with his family, amidst allegations of an affair. His intern, Lori Klausutis, was soon after found dead in his office. The medical examiner, who had his license revoked in Missouri for falsifying information in an autopsy report, and suspended in Florida for six years, ruled the case an accident, after giving conflicting information about her injuries. He said he lied about them because "The last thing we wanted was 40 questions about a head injury."

Ed Schrock was a two-term Republican Congressman, with a 92% approval rating from the Christian Coalition. Co-sponsor of the Federal Marriage Amendment, consistently opposed gay rights. Married, with wife and kids, he withdrew his candidacy for a third term after tapes of him soliciting gay sex were circulated. The Virginia Pilot reported in October 2000 that Schrock favored ending the Clinton administration's "don't ask, don't tell" policy on gays in the military, BlogActive noted. "He supports asking enlistees whether they have had homosexual experiences in an effort to try to keep gays from serving. 'You're in the showers with them, you're in the bunk room with them, you're in staterooms with them,' Schrock said."

Dr. Laura Schlessinger, right wing conservative radio host, is known for promoting family values. She is estranged from her mother, opposes birth control, has had her tubes tied. She espouses saving oneself for marriage, and admits to having had sex before she was married. She opposes adultery, but has committed adultery while she was married, and has slept with a married man. She opposes divorce, but she is divorced and remarried, and has posed for nude photos which are available online.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the hit Hollywood movie actor turned politician and California Republican governor, has admitted during a Oui interview, having sex with a 16-year old when he was 28. Today men who commit similar acts in Oregon are branded sex offenders and placed in correctional facilities. At the time of the Oui story, Schwarzenegger, then 29, was appearing in "Pumping Iron," a documentary on the bodybuilding circuit. In the Q&A with Manso from Oui Magazine, today's California Governor spoke about his sex life then, his drug usage, and his belief that men "shouldn't feel like fags just because they want to have nice-looking bodies." Jean Schmidt is a Republican legislator from Ohio. Though not herself implicated, she employed a campaign manager named Joe Brauns in her 2005 election who once wrote an article condemning gay men for running sex ad profiles, and who was then accused of running his own sex profile on Collarme, an S&M sex site. The profile called for "submissives" to wear only a collar and handcuffs and to have hot wax dripped on them. Source: DKOS Diary

Jimmy Swaggart, televangelist, exposed in 1986 fellow Assemblies of God minister Marvin Gorman, who was having an affair with one of his parishioners. The following year, Swaggart then exposed Jim Bakker's sexual indiscretions and soon after appeared on the Larry King Show stating that Bakker was a "cancer in the body of Christ." As a retaliatory move, Marvin Gorman hired a private-detective to follow Swaggart. During his investigation, the detective found Swaggart in a Jefferson Parish, Louisiana motel on Airline Highway with prostitute Debra Murphree and took pictures as proof of the tryst.Source: Wikipedia

Randall Terry, Right to Life activist, founder of Operation Rescue, was involved in the Terri Schiavo protests. He was once imprisoned for sending former President Bill Clinton an aborted fetus. His son Jamiel is gay; his daughter Tila had sex outside of marriage, became pregnant, had a miscarriage - she is no longer welcome in his home; his daughter Ebony had 2 children outside of wedlock and became Muslim. He has campaigned against infidelity and birth control, gays and unwed mothers. Terry himself was censured by his church after committing adultery.

Strom Thurmond was an outspoken southern republican senator and racist. According to information revealed toward the end of his life, he had as a younger man raped and impregnanted a 15-year old African American maid. Throughout his adult life, as a politician and U.S. Senator, Thurmond quietly contributed to the family of the young African-American mother of his child. In contrast to, say, George "I Was Wrong" Wallace, Thurmond had always been an ornery redemption project. He did not repent. Even so, his illegitimate daughter further complicated the moral picture. Jim West, Spokane Mayor, supported a bill which failed, would have barred gays and lesbians from working in schools, day-care centers and some state agencies. He voted to bar the state from distributing pamphlets telling people how to protect themselves from AIDS. He proposed that “any touching of the sexual or other intimate parts of a person” among teens be criminalized. He ended up having a sexual affair with an 18-year old boy. Source: Spokesman review

Larry Flynt taking John Bolton to task? Political leaders funded by the Christian Coalition watching their lives and political ambitions end in disgrace? I know people won't change their views over this article, that would be too much to expect, but I have a feeling some of this information, much of which is not discussed in many circles, is important to share. Major hangups over sex do not seem to get people very far, at least in the end, and it is obvious that many of the stated motivations of these individuals are the exact opposite of what lurks in their hearts.

The Democrats have no shortage of serious problems when it comes to extramarital activity, some of it illegal, all of it wrong. But that will take another story, it would not be quite as long of a list, but long enough.

The case of former Oregon Governor Neil Goldschmidt came to light on May 6th 2004 in the Willamette Week newspaper. Goldschmidt publicly announced that he had engaged in a sexual relationship with a 14-year old girl for an extended period during his first term as Mayor of Portland. Their relations constituted third degree rape under Oregon law, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison. In this case, the statute of limitations had expired, making Goldschmidt immune from any prosecution over the matter.

Another episode of "The Bible" series aired on the History Channel, March 17th. This episode concluded the Old Testament and introduced the New Testament. So far six of the 10 hours of "The Bible" has been completed with only four more hours left in the next two episodes. Although a lot of texts were not shown in the original The Holy Bible, what do you think the tv presentation would be like, if it aired the removed books? One removed book includes the Book of Enoch

Bludnok September 6, 2012 6:49 pm (Pacific time)

A little late probably, but the point the author didn't quite make is that the GOP is the "official" party of morality, family values and the darling of the religious right. I think it's the hypocritical face the GOP puts on that bothers most people. Their may be a long list of Dems as well but it hasn't surfaced. I wonder why? Maybe it's the "liberal bias" of the Internet?

Bill Clinton February 3, 2012 12:28 am (Pacific time)

Why do you all keep pickin on me. I told you that I did not have sexual relations with that woman

Rick January 25, 2012 11:47 pm (Pacific time)

You people are pathetic. Do you really think there isn't an equivalent list of democrat sex scandals? I can name at least 10 just off the top of my head (1) Anthony weiner (2) John Kennedy - prostitues in the white house(3) Robert Kennedy - affair with his brother's wife (4) the asian congressman from washington state or oregon who raped a college age girl (5) gary condit (6) jim mcgreevy (7) bill clinton (8) gary hart (9) jon edwards (10) barney frank (11) elliot spitzer, I am sure I could do research and find at least 100.

Razorback October 31, 2011 12:54 pm (Pacific time)

Interesting list. Some of the allegations even appear to have credible sources. Glad to see those who espouse conservative moral values but who secretly try to live like Democrats are being exposed (no pun intended). Kick em all out of office and prosecute them if their offense rises to that level and I'll cheer you on. Its great to see them driven from office and destroyed forever as political activists or elected officials, just like Barney Frank, Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, ad infinitum....Oh, wait--you say they're still in office, and loved and revered by Democrats? Surely Larry Flynt, the Democrats' favorite journalist, and the high-level mainstream media journalists and executives who admitted in a scientific poll in 1988 voting Dukakis 89% and Bush,Sr. 7% , are going after them to dig up every allegation proven or not and destroy them. Oh, wait..... LOL--that list looks like a Bill Clinton cabinet meeting. Nothing more pathetic than feigned outrage from moral pygmies.

Editor: Oh I'd say many things are far more pathetic.

Again, you want to throw stones, go ahead. BUt you're all being bought and sold by your own party. They'll tell you when to get mad or to get angry and worst thing is YOU BELIEVE AND FOLLOW THEM!! SHEEP!!!

I don't know what your real problem is with Dr. Laura; she does have some views that I don't share and quite frankly, sound strange to me, but I listen to the program. At first, I was very-very sceptical about some advices that she gives, but then, there was nothing else I could do. All these psychological "talks" are a waste of time. In fact, the phrase "we need to talk" turns a man into a defensive porcupine. Anyway, one day I decided to experiment with one advice that Dr. Laura gave to a caller, changed my regular attitude "you don't appreciate me, I'm the only one who does anything around here", and squeezed out "thanks for fixing the door". I got an interesting reaction of a confused man with raised eyebrows and "ummm, sure, are you OK?" Long story short, we are both happier now. How do I know? Well, I get compliments more often, things are fixed around the house, and once in a while I get nice girly things "just because I love you". So, whatever you dug out on this lady, I'll appreciate her advice as long as I live.

the brewster July 31, 2010 2:32 pm (Pacific time)

Just curious... How many of these repubicans stay in office after getting busted vs. how many democrats stay in office after getting busted? Anyone curious? I think we'll see who's got more class if we dare to look

jukeboy joe from Maine January 13, 2010 6:02 am (Pacific time)

Some of these comments are revealing. Many brush off hypocrisy and attempt to turn it around and lay blame on those commenting on it. We wonder why faux news and similar propagandists, hypocrites and immoral spokesmen of the right have an audience?

Steve Skeete June 26, 2009 6:49 pm (Pacific time)

I hope I have not missed the point of this post which, I believe, is intended to show that many persons who spout "family values" are hypocrites, because they lie, steal, cheat etc. My question is this, is it wrong to lie, steal and cheat? If your answer is yes, then if I do these am I not guilty of doing wrong regardless to whether I spout "family values" or not? I have another question. If persons who believe that it is wrong to lie, cheat or steal, do so in the large numbers that your post suggests, how do you think persons who believe that these practices are not wrong would fare? In the end all that I hear you saying is that I should not speak out against wrong doing if I myself do these wrongs. Now if we both believe a thing is wrong and I can't speak out against it because I do it, and even though you admit it is wrong you see no need to speak against it, how does that make you a better person than I. My final question. Is a man with no values to speak of better than a man who has values but fails to live up to them? Put another way would you not rather fail in trying to live up to your values (standards), or not fail because you have no values(standards)to live up to?

Will Matson May 6, 2009 11:54 am (Pacific time)

Funny you would quote suspicions of Larry Flint who is know to have had a lady shot with an air-nailer to make one of his movies. Out of country, of course! It is no surprise John Bolton would be a target of slease.

mspw March 14, 2009 8:21 am (Pacific time)

What seems obvious to me is that people who are attracted to politics tend to be power-mongering jerks anyway who want to change the world to better suit their own purposes. So I am not surprised to find scandalous behavior an politicians regardless of party affiliation. But I think that what needs to be made very clear here is that the GOP has made Family Values the crux of their campaign. No other party has done this. I am not saying that what any of these people are doing is right, but what I think the author of this article is trying to say is that the Family Values campaign is hypocritical, that the people who seek to change laws which impede on the constitutional rights of American citizens are apparently sick and oppressed individuals who should not possess the power they do. They should not be in a position of power over how people live their lives. Its apparent the Family Values platform is a farce created to scam the very wealthy out of funding, to pad the pockets of the GOP.

Anonymous March 13, 2009 12:26 pm (Pacific time)

what is this --who cares dem or rep sacks are sickos the party thing is what is wrong--we need to get away from that perverts come is all sizes

Hyena February 1, 2009 1:23 am (Pacific time)

these allegations are true. When I was an intern for the white house Mr. Bush often tried to force himself on me. I never told because I was constantly reminded that they could make me disappear.

CraigJ January 30, 2009 10:09 pm (Pacific time)

This article was a real stretch and it simply isn't necessary to stretch it. Obviously there is a political agenda here. There is a huge list of proven Republican Sex Scandals. This is just poor slanderous journalism. What a waste of words. For those of you that would like an intelligent analysis of this you will find blogs with ACTUAL convictions not allegations. My own father was involved in a rape allegation because he was one of many boys that attended a coed party but he was proven innocent in court. The list of public records concerning Democrats and Republicans is long and offensive to society. However what is more offensive is the lack of shame with some simply because they are liberal. All will answer in the end. ALL

If a Teacher, teaches a Stundent 2+2=4, which is a truth! But it’s found out that the Teacher stole the math book from a Store. For a Leftist, this means 2+2 know longer really equals 4 anymore.

,,How about a list of all of the DEMOCRATIC Scandals (or would that be considered "politically Incorrect"??? - or perhaps would take up FAR too much space on a website) ..more rubbish from the liberal-leftists

Why are these stories not finding there way into the independent news rooms and opposing candidates cannons ?

This is an article to point out the GRAND Hypocrisy of the right and the GOP. Democrats don't go around telling people what they should do in their personal lives as do all these individuals listed above. Therefore a list is needed for them. As the article stated 10s of millions of tax dollars was spent on investigating Clinton and most of the individuals behind were themselves behaving "immorrally". Reread the srticle to get the point.

Keith Richard Radford Jr. December 2, 2007 4:52 am (Pacific time)

I am for Health Care but not when your children stand to be set up for cancer. In 1992 I was implanted with a microchip by the California Department of Corrections. Just like the Angel of Death* HaloScan, IBM, Avid, Veri Chip and other company's use subcutaneous human tracking device, audio servalence systems and other venues against American people for fun and profit. Since the Nuremberg trials the Nuremberg code of universal medical ethics have moved into California's Silicon Valley which is being protected by our own governments representatives. The national fraud squad has opened an investigation into the affair. The four are suspected of abuse, aggravated assault, causing death through negligence, fraud, forgery, breach of statutory duty, and disruption of legal proceedings. *Dr. Josef Mengele was a German SS officer and a physician in the German Nazi concentration camp performing human experiments on camp inmates, amongst whom Mengele was known as the Angel of Death. Since 1987, Nancy Pelosi has represented California's Eighth District in the House of Representatives wile being on the board of Veri Chip. Tommy Thompson, who approved RFID chips for use in humans back when he was serving under Bush as Secretary of Health and Human Services, is getting $40,000 a year from Applied Digital Solutions (the company that owns VeriChip) and has received company stock worth about $1 million. As California's senior Senator, Dianne Feinstein has built her reputation on condoning torture, working with both Democrats and Republicans to find solutions to the problems facing California and the Nation court who have chosen to ignore human and civil right. You Worthless Tech Trollops have been instrumental in working toward a North American Union. When will America wake up to the fact that our government knows human nature. Using sex offenders to justify their actions when what they are doing is universally wrong, is underhanded at least and fundamentally treasonous by using devices that are unsafe. Hiding the finding of company's product and placing humans at risk seems to be of no consequence to those that take them to court on habeas corpus writs. I was told by my attorney that my case was demurer which means the state says so what. So what if we treat you like a lab rat. So what if you are diabetic and need to enroll in Adult Swim at your YMCA because of injuries for exercise. So what if you are disabled and we made you move. So what if you live a good honest life. So what if when we made you move you were going to school to learn a trade and we disrupted your life during your finals and you could not finish your training. So what if you and your wife who by the way has never done anything to anyone is waking in the middle of the night crying because you stand to be homeless for fear that no one will rent to you. We lived in an apartment in Burbank CA when someone decided to place flyer's at our home about my 23 year old sex offense and get us kicked out of our home. So what. Reminds me of the Quote by Pastor Martin Niemöller: First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me. We have one week to come up with a bunch of money to fight for rights for all Americans who are losing because they are better than sex offenders till their family member loses their trunks when diving into the community pool. Sorry America we have no money. When these laws get done with us, they will not be satisfied.

You can find most of these at http://www.republicansexoffenders.com I left out a bunch of them, as I'm only interested in outing the pedophiles, but there's a long list of them. Others have asked about Democrats, and so have I, but no one seems to be able to list any. If you know of some, let me know. I also own www.democraticsexoffenders.com Happy hunting!

Carly Corday October 23, 2007 8:58 am (Pacific time)

Why no mention of Glen Murphy, or the evangelical "minister" found dead in a double wet-suit with something hurtful and compromising inserted somewhere grossly embarrassing within his physical anatomy? What kinda cover-up is going on here!? I'm looking for a COMPLETE, comprehensive LIST to show my Republican 20-year-old stationed at a military base.

Grey October 22, 2007 6:46 pm (Pacific time)

Seems I am still waiting for the Liberal List. But, then again, the longer this one rides alone, the less people will focus on Nancy Pelosi and her minions opening up a new front to the war in Iraq. Sex sells better than Genocide anyway. I am a trained investigator for Child Protection and crimes. Keith, your post "Maybe its offenders failure to live up to some pious extremists expectation for the world?" makes me want to hurl! The offenders not living up to our expectations? Come on, the offenses are illegal for a reason and they have to atone for them. I am not pious, but I am damn sure extreme when it comes to this subject. Obviously you are either an offender who wants to try and make the system the problem, or you have never spoken to a victim of these crimes. Political affiliation aside, I am highly agitated by that remark and the fact there is so few posts against it. It's libs like you that preach "education and rehabilitation" rather than conviction and incarceration. They would NEVER re-offend if they were NEVER released into polite society again! And the stats you posted, where did you get them? The ACLU couldn't have done any better on them. The increase in reportable numbers is just because of the that, Reporting. When we finally began to look for the victims they came forth in droves. These crimes are just as much about control and embarrassment as they are sexual gratification. In my grandparents day these crimes would barely see the light of day for fear of reprisal and shame, there-fore there was no money allocated for the investigation, prosecution or "rehabilitation." As with most crimes, the more attention, the more money thrown at it. At some point a balance will be achieved, but don't rant over the money and the assumed success or lack of, based on results gleaned from an issue that has never before seen the attention it is now getting. This didn't happen over night and it darn sure wont be fixed that way, especially when people aren't willing to get involved, other than trying to close the door after the horses are free. Get the facts and get them straight, for the bennefit of all. Oh, and Dear Editor: What was wrong with Keith Jr.'s html that wasn't wrong with the very first post from Mary? Not trying to confuse, but "rarely" doesn't advise the rest of us the standards you placed on the posts. Don't care for his or hers, but I will stand up for the privedge of being able to direct others to more information on any topic, let alone this one.

I found a good long list of more hypocrites. Since you don't like links, I'll say go to google and put in its title: The GOP Has Always Been the Party of Perverts. Then go to the first article.

Neal Feldman October 20, 2007 3:09 pm (Pacific time)

Keith - not sure where you get your numbers from and I claim no specific expertise on the subject but that said from what I have read and seen the recidivism rate for sex offenders (I guess it depends on how you define the term, I will speak of predatory sex offenders) far from being just 5% is actually closer to 95%. If they are not watched like hawks and kept away from temptations it is a near certainty that they will indeed offend again. I'm not sure what it is you are trying to get at though as your response seems kind of non sequitur to this context. Ah well...

How is it that anyone can justify Not enough jobs for law enforcement who are already stretched beyond usefulness? Maybe its offenders failure to live up to some pious extremists expectation for the world? Or imminent danger related to a program which was never funded? Building a nation on the backs of sex offender opens the door for this.

China's ahead of us by about ten years.

The 1,2,3's of sex offenders. 1. The recidivism rate of sex offenders is under 5% 2. 90% of all sex crimes are committed within the family. 3. 92% of all sex crimes are perpetrated by people not on the sex offender registry.

If the bulls eye is 5% of the target and the bulls eye scores no points, what justifies the billions of tax payer dollars for the project? Do you really think Laws like this are doing any good. Keith Richard Radford Jr

Rumour has it that Jeb Bush met his wife in Tijuana while she was working as a prostitute.

Neal Feldman October 20, 2007 2:11 am (Pacific time)

Grey - Shwartzenegger is a republican. That is his party affiliation. He is socially moderate but then again he is governor of California. His wife's family is irrelevant. But thank you for showing that even with the above litany of recent offenses by the holier than thou conservatives the best your kind can come up with is bashing Ted Kennedy. I think Strom Thurmond more than balances any Kennedy issues so you still have the rest of the list to deal with. But if you want to make your own list and put it on your own site I'm sure you can on the internet. Somewhere. Try nationalreview.com. Ah well...

Skipper Osborne October 19, 2007 6:19 pm (Pacific time)

Article well done!

Grey October 19, 2007 6:02 pm (Pacific time)

While the list is grandeose to say the least, I find it odd that libs now want to link Conservatism to the litany of required qualities to be a sexual deviant. When boiled down, it looks more that the Christian Fundementalist Right have the higher proportion of individuals in this group. I am would hardy classify Arnold "I'll be back" Swartzee as a Republican. Maria Shriver of the Kennedy Clan makes sure he knows what side his bread is buttered. Oh, ya...Kennedy's, now there's a name with a sexual deviant past. And Chapaquidick (spelling?), but they are Dems..they don't count do they?? I am conservative and I see the point of the article, but to make it fair, I'd like to view a list of liberals with issues; sexual, drug or alcohol.

Neal Feldman October 19, 2007 4:01 pm (Pacific time)

And to answer the 'what about the list of democrats' question the dems don't hold themselves up as holier than thou. That is the difference. Repugnicans try to claim they, as a group, are oh so moral, pristine and pure when in fact they are just as bad, or worse, as anyone else. Hence the pointing out of that fact. Ah well...

Neal Feldman October 19, 2007 3:58 pm (Pacific time)

Marvin? ROFL! I'm sorry but I cannot hear that name without thinking Marvin the Martian from the Bugs Bunny cartoons. Neil Bush was corrupt enough with Silverado S and L (and then putting all assets into his wife's name so folks couldn't get to them if he were held accountable). It would not surprise me to find that the Bush family got their start as horse thieves. But to name a kid Marvin has to be one of their greatest crimes of all. . Ah well...

Keith October 19, 2007 2:30 pm (Pacific time)

Wife of Oral Roberts U president spent 9 nights with underage male. Susan Smith (she killed her two children and blamed it on Blacks)'s father was leader of local Moral Majority. She said he had sex with her from early age to about time of murders. Liberals do not campaign on platform that their opponent has the wrong kind of sex. Conservatives do. That's what makes it hypocrisy.

Keith October 19, 2007 2:04 pm (Pacific time)

Marvin P. Bush (NOT NEIL), the president’s younger brother, was a principal in a company called Securacom that provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport on 9/11. The company was backed by KuwAm, a Kuwaiti-American investment firm. Eisenhower had a long affair with his chauffeur and nearly married her. Common knowledge that GHW Bush had a long affair with secretary Jennifer Fitzgerald. Patty Reagan was born seven months after Ron and Nancy got married. She was not premature. She said her parents smoked pot at Hollywood parties in the 1960's. Arnold promised an investigation into the dozens of women who accussed him of molestation. Two minutes after his inauguration he said that was "old news". Newt did not pay child support for his two daughters. J.C, Watts did not pay child support for the children he fathered outside of marriage with two women. Clinton was found NOT GUILTY of perjury or obstruction of justice. According to the prosecutors' definition, he did not have "sex" with her. It also had nothing to do with the powers of the president or the constitution. Our current president has violated the constitution many, many times.

Neal Feldman October 19, 2007 11:47 am (Pacific time)

Stan - But doesn't Craig keep screaming that he us not gay? Doesn't that let him off the hook? LOL! Ah well...

Stan October 19, 2007 5:27 am (Pacific time)

What about "wide stance" Craig??

drumz October 18, 2007 5:03 pm (Pacific time)

Lars is a typical repuke POS

L64191911B October 18, 2007 3:27 pm (Pacific time)

When the politicians are caught, they claim they are con-joint twins. Con(s) I can understand but joint, what the heck does that explain?

L64191911B October 18, 2007 2:52 pm (Pacific time)

Where was this poll taken, in San Francisco, California or in Nazi Germany?

Matt October 18, 2007 2:48 pm (Pacific time)

Nora, Please name one Democratic figure who calls for the denial of rights to other Americans because of sexual behavior. Republicans have cornered the market when it comes to 'holier than thou' hypocrisy. Conservatives would be laughable if they weren't such sad examples of humanity.

Dee October 18, 2007 12:17 pm (Pacific time)

WE are headed for dangerous times. These same people are wanting to control our lives. Too many people continue to believe these people. Why VALUES are the word of the day, real families can't afford healthcare and risk losing their jobs everyday. When more an more American's are left behind (no not the rapture), will we rise up.

Henry Ruark October 18, 2007 11:20 am (Pacific time)

To all: Some cognitive scientists --same ones now world-famed for discovering how the mind works--have long tied "the authoritarian personality" to oveweening sexual activities, too. Not much on record for this, but will provide links later.

blogenfreude October 18, 2007 10:39 am (Pacific time)

Oh, and add Vitter. Otherwise this list is an EXCELLENT resource - we foul-mouthed lefty bloggers will be linking to you a lot.

Tim King- reporter October 18, 2007 10:35 am (Pacific time)

I acknowledge all of the ones who are not here, and I appreciate all of you adding to the list to make it more complete, thanks.

blogenfreude October 18, 2007 10:33 am (Pacific time)

You forgot Jeb Bush Jr. (schtupping in a parking lot in Tallahassee).

Nick October 18, 2007 10:32 am (Pacific time)

you missed my personal favorite: Dr David Hager, Bush's choice to the advisory committee for reproductive health drugs at the FDA, appointed on xmas eve so as to do an end-run around any dissent abiut his appointment. this real-life gynecologist who once suggested women treat menstrual pain by reading the Bible, all but confessed in divorce proceedings he was sodomizing his narcoleptic wife in her sleep from 95 to 02 by suggesting he "missed" the correct orifice (in the process revealing he thinks it's okay to vaginally rape your wife in her sleep). http://www.thenation.com/doc/20050530/mcgarvey and further to jack's comment, i too would like to see the list of key Democrats charged in sex scandals, but to make it fair, it can only include dems who campaigned on government promotion of "christian" or "family values". it should be a reasonbaly short article jack can read in no time.

OxyCon October 18, 2007 10:27 am (Pacific time)

This is a very incomplete list. If you look at the local level, there are literally thousands of Republicans who are getting caught molesting children, both boys and girls. Just in my county, a Republican was sentanced to 36 years in jail for forcing a 12 year old girl into bondage sex acts. Here's just one list of these Republican sickos: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Republican pedophiles

Brown County Republican Party chairman faces sex charges The chairman of the Republican Party in Brown County faces criminal charges for allegedly fondling a 16-year-old Ethan House runaway and providing the boy with beer and marijuana late last year. Donald Fleischman, 37, of Allouez, was charged last month with two counts of child enticement, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child and a single charge of exposing himself to a child. The boy told police that when he would go to bed, Fleischman would fondle him and that on one occasion he awoke to find Fleischman at the foot of his bed masturbating. http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071013/GPG0101/710130528/1207/GPGnews

Jack October 18, 2007 8:59 am (Pacific time)

The list of Republican sex scandals was very interesting. I'm looking forward to the list of Democratic scandals.

Vic October 18, 2007 8:41 am (Pacific time)

Didnt Dr Laura's mom starve to death alone in her apartment ? So much for that self-righteous bitch lecturing the rest of us on how to live our lives. As far as her naked pics , I heard Foster Farms contacted her for a pin up calendar because she looks like a plucked chicken.

Matt October 18, 2007 6:17 am (Pacific time)

The snippet about George Roche should also include the fact that he divorced his wife of 44 years while she was dying of cancer and remarried shortly thereafter. Soon after he remarried, his daughter-in-law shot herself. As far as Jim's assertion that the Roche "affair" was simply an "allegation"--riiiiiight.

vincent goodridge October 18, 2007 5:49 am (Pacific time)

Didn't Armstrong Williams set-tle out of court a suit that said he was making sexual ad-vances to a male employee?

Mr. Kentucky October 18, 2007 5:47 am (Pacific time)

Where's ol "Wide Stance" Larry Craig? Maybe the list was so long that I missed him . . .

Billy October 18, 2007 5:07 am (Pacific time)

It's quite simple. Republicans have problems with sex.

Cavalor Epthith, Esquire October 18, 2007 3:26 am (Pacific time)

Excellent job Mr. King you could have spent the rest of the year compiling a comprehensive list that would have run on and on and on to the horizon. We do this everyday and the hypocrisy of the political Right Wing in America weighs upon us like a leaden albatross. People like Nora have just decided that they cannot come to grips with their own flaws and thus must project them on the rest of the world around them. Pitiful. Keep fighting the good fight young man and America one day soon will be a free nation again!

Am I on crazy pills? October 17, 2007 5:31 pm (Pacific time)

Nora, No offense, but you are full of it. Bush is a death machine and all of his followers are Hellbound if they don't change their ways, you included. I honestly think you people have some part of the human composition missing or something like that. How sad for the families that have lost soldiers in the needless anti-Christian Bush wars, I hope you feel just great about your fictitious value system Nora, good luck, I think you are going to need it.

Julie October 17, 2007 5:30 pm (Pacific time)

Hey Nora, this wouldn't be a subject if the republicans didn't talk so much smack about how much better they are than every one else. As for Laura: naked is naked. They ARE indecent pictures of her, regardless of who she was with. It is a fact that most people do NOT have photos taken of them naked, especially those of "high moral character". Her forte' is judging others, and she throws too many stones. BTW, Clinton does not still maintain that he didn't have an affair. Don't you read the news? (tip: Fox ISN'T news)

Nora October 17, 2007 3:39 pm (Pacific time)

You are WRONG! Dr. Laura has not had an affair and those photos were with her boyfriend, they were private! As for the other things, at least she can speak from experience of being on the other side and admits it! You need to reorganize what constitutes someone to look up to. Clinton lied under oath and continues to maintain that he didn't do anything with Monica. Dems think they're holier than thou!

jim October 17, 2007 2:59 pm (Pacific time)

the George Roche "affair" was never found to be true. it was an allegation.

Mary October 17, 2007 7:55 am (Pacific time)

You forgot to John David "Roy" Atchison. His arrest and suicide never made much in the way of "news", especially in Salem. He was a Republican Federal Prosecutor from Florida and was arrested in a sting where he solicited sex with a five year old girl. He committed suicide just a couple of weeks after his arrest. Sick Sick Sick!! For more information on him, here is a link, http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/9/18/64938/3849
