(SALEM, Ore.) - Due to recent and forecast weather conditions, the reopening of 25th Street SE in Salem will be delayed one to two weeks, public works officials say.

25th Street SE was closed between Hyde Street SE and Hyde Court SE on June 18th of this year, in order to widen the bridge over Shelton Ditch. This work and street closure was scheduled to be completed mid October 2007.

The 2003 Oregon Transportation and Investment Act established the 2003 OTIA Local Bridge Program, which provides funding for local city and county bridge replacement and repair projects chosen by the Oregon Transportation Commission. $1.2 million in OTIA funding is budgeted for this project.
