(SAN DIEGO) - Residents evacuated from Otay Lakes Road to Pio Pico Thousand Trails as a result of the Harris Fire will be allowed to return home today. The evacuated residents will be allowed back in to their homes at 8:00 AM this morning.

Officials say the fire and emergency threat to this area has been mitigated, and critical infrastructures such as roads and bridges have been assessed and evaluated.

San Diego Gas and Electric crews have secured the utilities in this area as well, officials say.

Harris Fire and Law Enforcement Officials say they will continue working towards getting residents back to their homes.

Information will be provided on additional evacuation changes as soon as it is available.

About This Video from Chris House on YouTube:

"After last nights fired died down in our area I decided to head up the road further and stumbled upon a fire that may have just been intentionally set. It was incredibly hot and we ended up getting to close. If you notice we are standing on a fence that just as we left became engulfed in flames. I realize we are idiots. My eyes were burning and skin felt like it was on fire."
