(SALEM, Ore.) - The FBI is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman responsible for the robbery of the Washington Mutual Bank branch located at 480 Glen Creek Road NW in Salem. Spokeswoman Elizabeth Steele says the robbery happened at 11:07 AM Saturday, October 25th.

"The woman walked into the bank, stood in line, approached a teller, demanded cash and left with an undisclosed amount." Steele said, adding that the woman was last seen leaving the area on foot.

Witnesses describe the woman as Caucasian, and they believe she was either in her twenty's or thirty's.

She was approximately five foot three inches tall, and she is described as having a heavy set build.

Steele says the woman was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt; dark brown sweatpants; white sneakers; and large sunglasses.
