The First Online Newscast enters Beta phase tonight.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com will launch Oregon's first all-Online newscast with Bonnie King tonight at 7:00 p.m. This will be a live program and the subject of our plans over the past five years.

Bonnie King, in addition to being the Publisher of Salem-News.com, has substantial history as an on-air personality. She first anchored news in the late 1980's for TV10 on the Oregon coast. Bonnie also appeared on KYMA, the NBC affiliate in southern Arizona as the spokesperson for "Community Happenings", and she interviewed several celebrities via satellite.

Tonight's program will come to you via justin.tv, a Bay Area company that has the ability to generate a live signal for thousands. The newscast represents a real first in Oregon, as this will be the state's first exclusively Online newscast.

For years, Salem-News.com was the only privately owned Web news group in the nation and even today we do not see similar operations. Instead, almost all Internet news is generated by Websites operated by television stations, radio stations and newspapers.

Salem-News.com is different.

In our fifth year of operation, with a staff of writers from all over the United States and other nations like Canada, Mexico and France, we are very proud to offer our viewers a different kind of video, Live News, and the best part is that everything is recorded and available to also view at a later date.

Tonight will be primarily testing, please be patient with us as we offer a program that will be a fantastic service to Oregon and beyond.
