Operation Red Dragonfly Veteran Outreach Mission Coming to MissouriSalem-News.com
Marine Veteran will share information that could save the life of someone you know...
(SPRINGFIELD / KANSAS CITY) - When Tim King was a Marine, his sons had severe health issues from contaminated Marine Corps base water. The boys didn't ask for their problems but they almost died. Neither King says, did the hundreds of thousands of Marines who contracted cancer from the chemical laden water at bases like El Toro and Camp Lejeune. King is riding a motorcycle across the country solo, giving a series of talks on contaminated military bases. His tour, Operation Red Dragonfly, is coming to Springfield.
King is addressing other tough subjects during his national tour, like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Veteran Suicide. He will review the latest news and provide resources about Agent Orange and other contaminants. On a related note, he will address the challenges facing the children of Vietnam Vets and other important topics.
Tim is carrying information specific to a wide range of problems facing Veterans and their families and he stresses that almost all of the same problems face civilians in many cases, including those with no direct connection to the military.
The events take place on Sept 12th and 14th.
