(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Kenny Wayne Gunner was born in Seattle, Washington, and bought his first guitar at age eight at a swap meet for $5.00 & has been playing ever since.

He says music is in his blood, he comes from a superb history of musicians.

His grandfather played the steel guitar in Harvey Thomas’ band (creator of the Iron Cross guitar- Thomas Guitar).

Kenny Wayne's hero is Jimi Hendrix, and he performed the Star Spangled Banner for the HempStalk audience, in true Jimi form. See it in the video clip below from Saturday's Hempstalk event in Portland.
