Salem Police Looking for Drug Store Bandit

(SALEM, Ore.) - On Wednesday, August 25th, just before 9:00 PM, an unidentified suspect held up the pharmacy inside the Safeway store located at 5660 Commercial St SE. The robber displayed a note demanding the drug Oxycontin. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of the drug. The police attempted a search with a K9; however, he was able to get away.

He is described as a white male, 6'0" tall, thin build, with lower facial hair, wearing a black baseball cap, dark overcoat, slim wraparound sunglasses, and blue jeans. A witness described him as having walked with a distinctive "pigeon toed" walk.
