(TILLAMOOK, Ore.) - Police say a Forest Grove man was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 6 about 22 miles east of Tillamook and slid into an embankment. According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Sergeant Greg Plummer, on September 12, 2010 at approximately 2:45 p.m. a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 61-year old Daniel Everett Shaw of Forest Grove, was westbound on Highway 6 near milepost 22. "Shaw lost control negotiating a left curve, slid into an embankment and was ejected off the motorcycle into a ten foot ditch." Plummer says Shaw received serious, non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing a protective helmet and was transported by LifeFlight to Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. OSP troopers from the Tillamook work site are continuing the investigation.
