Governor Orders Flags at Half-Staff in Memory of Oregon Soldier

Captain Drew Jensen was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team).

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Governor Ted Kulongoski ordered all flags at public institutions be flown at half-staff throughout Oregon today, in honor of Captain Drew Jensen. Jensen, 27, of Clackamas, died September 7th from wounds suffered on May 7th in Ba’qubah, Iraq.

He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team). “Captain Jensen lived his life with honesty and integrity and he made each day count for himself and for everyone he came in contact with,” said Governor Kulongoski. “He was the husband, son and friend that every family wants.”
