Salem traffic heading north should take alternate routes

(WILSONVILLE) - The northbound lanes of Interstate 5 are at a stop due to an apparent van fire. Anyone heading north toward the city of Portland should take Highway 99 E to avoid the area.

Our understanding is that emergency crews are on scene.

As soon as we know more about the circumstances behind the vehicle fire we will let you know.
